Location
Unfortunately, our stay at Grandhotel Pupp was disappointing and did not meet our expectations, especially considering the hotel’s reputation and price.
Noise issues:
There was constant noise coming from the neighboring rooms, which made it difficult to relax or sleep.
For a hotel of this category, we expected much better sound insulation.
Unpleasant odors:
Another major issue was the strong smell from the buffet/restaurant area near the reception.
The odor reached all the way up to our room, which was uncomfortable and unexpected in a 5-star hotel.
Misleading room allocation:
When booking through Booking.com, it was not clearly stated that the hotel has three different buildings.
Because of this, we were placed in a lower-category building, not the main historical one.
This lack of clarity was very disappointing, and the room we received did not match what we thought we were booking.
Value for money:
For the amount we paid, the experience felt far from justified.
The overall comfort and quality did not match the price or the hotel’s reputation.
Overall:
Our stay did not reflect the standard we expected from Grandhotel Pupp.
The noise, unpleasant smells, and misleading room information made the experience below average, and we feel that the value was not worth the cost.

Beautiful and very elegant location. Every room is full of details and art, high quality breakfast with many options for all tastes.

It was a great stay! It's an old building with all the charme of the past days - it's an experience to stay there. Very friendly people at the reception, great breakfast - in short: We enjoyed our stay a lot and keep this in very good memory!

This was our first time in Karlovy Vary. The hotel is situated on a picture perfect street filled with beautiful buildings. Our room was a very nice size and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was very good, there was plenty of parking and the pool was a nice bonus.
Our room and the hallway were absolutely freezing. We had no way of controlling the temperature in the room and had to ask for extra blankets.
Being from Central Europe myself I understand the culture, but there were zero smiles on the faces of most employees especially at breakfast. Everyone looked like they were being forced to be there. I understand that Europeans are not into smiling excessively but in a service industry catering to foreigners it should be a priority.

Amazing location, nice room, delicious breakfast and the hotel was insane ❤️ everything was perfect
The spa was quite average, nothing special. Even the clinic wasn’t really worth it.
On top of that, the clinic technician's English wasn’t very good, which caused a big misunderstanding with our booking. She told us our appointments were at 3:00 and 6:00 for my mom, so we showed up on time. But later she claimed that we missed the second one, saying she meant 3:00pm and 16:00pm — which makes no sense at all. This mix-up wasted almost half of our day waiting the appointment.

It was absolutley perfect!
A wish came true!I spent my birthday at the Grandhotel Pupp and they made me feel special.They noticed it's my birthday and they surprised me with a cake in the room, sang me happy birthday.
The room was huge, verry clean, bed comfortable.
Hotel staff very well trained, friendly.Also they speak good english.
We felt we went back in time in this amazing building dated since 1700s.
