Located on one of the oldest streets in Brno, the Starobrněnská Street, the romantic Royal Ricc Hotel is right in the historical heart of the city. It offers free Wi-Fi connection in the entire property. The interior decorations are supplemented with antique furniture and a set of paintings of both modern and old artists. Hotel Royal Ricc is an original baroque house that was built in 1596. It was completely renovated in 1998. Upon prior reservation, guests can dine in a restaurant specializing in traditional Czech cuisine. The hotel is located a 5-minute walk from the very famous St. Peter's and St. Paul's cathedral. There are many historical monuments and places of interest like Špilberk, a royal castle from the 13th century, and St. James, which is a late Gothic church. Brno is the second largest city in Czech Republic. Nowadays, it is an important industrial and business center, thanks to the Brno Exhibition Center.

Friendliest, most accommodating, most helpful staff of any place I have stayed in Czech Republic!! I came back here because I had such a great experience the first time, and I was greeted so kindly by the same young lady who had helped me two years ago!! The service is SO great!! This is a super cool old building. They have stained glass in the halls, including portraits of my favorite Orthodox saints, Sv. Sv. Kiril and Methodij. Very nice rooms!!

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. I don't usually leave bad reviews because mistakes can happen. But this is worth highlighting and it's important to make people aware. As shown in the attached photos, the hotel claims to be wheelchair accessible but it's not true. They did have a room on the ground floor but reaching it in a wheelchair was extremely hard. The toilet was not accessible at all. I had to look for an alternative accomodation which was very expensive as it was last minute. What is worse is that the manager still required me to pay 2 out of 3 nights of the original reservation, arguing that they only guaranteed accessible entrance, not accessible rooms. Instead of apologizing. This behavior is unacceptable.

Fantastic building and location right at the heart of the old town. Spacious and uniquely decorated room featuring lovely stained double windows that open to a bustling street downstairs. Spotless clean bathroom. Excellent staff at the reception providing thorough information and also helping with an early check-in.
Poor wi-fi connection at times. Extremely soft mattress. Constant church bell sounds and some street noise in the room because of all the restaurants and cafes nearby (especially when the weather is good).

You can't get accomodation any closer to the city center. The staff was polite, fluent in English and helpful in finding storage for our 2 bikes.
We've got a room on the ground floor (107) and it was pretty hot inside. We couldn't open the window, they could only be tilted. The place next door had a pub that was open till 01:00 AM so it was noisy. We've tried closing the window and using the AC but it turned off after 5 minutes... Luckily we were tired and got a decent rest anyway.
