Subject: Urgent Complaint – Immediate Action Required
Dear Booking.com Customer Service,
We are writing to formally complain about our recent booking. We had a confirmed reservation at Nad Přehradou 8, Brno, but one day before our arrival, the property owner informed us that the apartment was already occupied by other guests, and we were forced to move to Adamcova 8, Brno.
This last-minute change caused significant disruption, and the alternative apartment was unacceptable:
No television, despite being listed.
Electric kettle not functioning.
Sofa extremely dirty and covered with sheets to hide the dirt (not to mention the odor).
Such treatment is unacceptable, especially after receiving booking confirmation. We request immediate compensation, such as a partial refund or other appropriate measures, to address this inconvenience.
We expect your prompt response and resolution of this matter.

Very friendly host. Low priced, small apartment with double bed, kitchen, bathroom (toilet and shower), two chairs, a small table and an armchair. There's a shopping center and a streetcar station (roughly 30 min to Brno main station) in about 10 min walking distance, and there's a nice lake pretty close-by. Rather quiet neighborhood.
The apartment could have been cleaner. There was dust on the doors, door frames and windowsills, and there were also cobwebs in several corners. Plus, there were several caraway (or similar) seeds scattered in the kitchen and on the floor.
The lighting was rather cold and unpleasant. A floor lamp with a nice, cozy, warm light (to read a book in the evening) would have been awesome.

Property is clean, placed within residential area. Parking still manageable on the street.
Owner started to charge refundable money (more than two times of the charge for accommodation) during check in. It should be returned after couple of days after check out. In my case, owner returned only part of the money without any comment or explanation. I claimed back immediately and got the rest of the money without any feedback why was that. I assume that owner tries to get more money by not refunding you fully and hopes that you will not notice it. Be careful and check the amounts or find another accommodation.
