Our room was not at all what we expected.
We book a sea view we did get a small corner terrace on the first floor facing the garden and the sea.
The room has a bad odor. The drain in the bathtub needs repair.

Location great, pool outside and breakfast as well. Welcome birthday cake was a cherry on top!
Beach was with trash from the water, so would be nice if it would be picked up more frequently or at least the trashbin was there. Also while checked in to the room the box of refresh kit was empty and trashbin in the bathroom not emptied.

We really were pleasantly surprised by all aspects of the hotel. From the spotless facilities, through the ease of care by the entire hotel staff. Our room faced the sea so that was nice. The spa was good with excellent treatments and a hot sauna! Breakfast completed the picture. The lobby bar was a bonus.
Almost nothing. I'm not a big fan of evening turndown services. The steam room needs some help, it wasn't working well. Rainy days means a lot of kids in the pool area.

The hotel and rooms are beautifully equipped and exceptionally clean. The housekeeping team checks in several times a day to ensure you have everything you need, and they are happy to provide additional items even later in the evening. The staff across all areas—reception, guest services, restaurants, and housekeeping—are consistently helpful and attentive. You truly feel that guests come first, always greeted with a smile and a genuine willingness to assist.
We visited with our two children (4 and 7 years old) and really appreciated the kids’ club, as well as the evening shows in the Bar, which were enjoyable and a perfect end to the day. We were very satisfied with the half board option; the selection was extensive, and we especially liked the themed dinner evenings (Cyprus, Oriental, Grill, etc.).

the room experience was good — clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The breakfast was also enjoyable, with a decent selection and good quality. Additionally, the location of the hotel was convenient and one of its strongest points.
This hotel is not child-friendly. There was only one very small kids’ club, which our children did not enjoy, and unfortunately the staff member there was not particularly welcoming or engaging with the kids.
The restaurant options and overall food quality were quite poor. The dining area was small and felt crowded. Additionally, we were informed that a dress code was obligatory for meals. This requirement was never mentioned anywhere prior to our arrival. For a resort-style hotel, enforcing a strict dress code for every meal without prior communication is unusual and inconvenient.
We also experienced an issue with the restaurant staff. Although management was able to resolve the situation, there is clearly room for improvement in how guests are treated. Overall, it felt as though families with children were not particularly welcome. The majority of guests appeared to be elderly British couples, and the atmosphere seemed more tailored to that demographic rather than to families.

Disappointing
Alexander The Great Beach Hotel would easily be an 8, probably a 9 but it wasn't for me (see below).. With that said the things that would have made it a 9 is the location right on the water, a great view, a big pool, multiple restaurants, nice staff and easily walkable to the harbor front, many places to shop, eat, things to see. Also they have a great breakfast, with tons of options, if you're into breakfast.. I think a 4 is generous given my experience but can see how it would get much higher ratings.
The primary purpose of a hotel is to sleep which is something that was NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE. My room although very nice, with a great view was right above on of the restaurants, one that has live music. Live music that turns the entire room into a speaker, something the staff is VERY AWARE of yet there is no caveat when getting the room, you would never know this and after a long travel day and being up since 3am there is ZERO escape from this noise and that's what it is noise, you can not drowned it out, it was louder then the TV, louder then the ocean with the doors fully open and the staff was like some people complain, no EVERYONE complains unless they are deaf or not in the room because they are below listening to the music. Sorry but as great as this place is, not only would I not stay again, because of this experience and the responses I received but for the cost of over $140USD you 100% FAILED on the primary purpose of being a hotel and should 100% discount this and any rooms around it.

ROOM: comfortable temperature, spacious, had all we needed, had a welcome gift - water and apples, clean.
Breakfast and dinner: great selection of dishes. Every day dinner is themed - Italian, French, Greek etc. Good quality, a lot of personnel are involved, we felt cared.

We booked a side sea view room, and hearing the ocean waves at night was truly magical. The room was spacious, with plenty of storage for luggage and a generous closet for hanging clothes. The bathroom offered enough room for two people to use comfortably. The bed was firm and very comfortable. Overall, the room had a classy, elegant feel that made our stay even more enjoyable. We also used the indoor pool and steam room, both of which added a relaxing touch to our stay and made for a really pleasant experience.
The breakfast offered plenty of options, with a strong emphasis on English-style dishes. However, we would have preferred a more Mediterranean selection—Cypriot, Greek, or Italian—featuring fresh local produce, pastries, and baked goods. A richer variety of regional flavors would have made the experience even better.

The staff at the hotel was very helpful, and they made my stay wonderful. I came early before check-in and they brought me a welcome drink. The breakfast was amazing, with a great variety of foods. The hotel is located on the beach with a great boardwalk to the harbour but it is a bit far from the center so you will have to take a taxi/bus to get to the center.
There was a bunch of hair in my toilet upon arrival, even though they put a Sanitized sign on the toilet, so make sure to take photos and tell the staff if something like this happens. I had a side sea view room and it is a bit loud and you can barely see the sea, so if you can afford it, take the front sea view room. There was a line and a big crowd at breakfast around 9:30 am so it was a bit of a await to get a seat and order breakfast and tea.

The staff here are really great. Breakfast was wonderful, and all the amenities. Nightly entertainment, water aerobics. It felt like a second home really. And a short walk down the boardwalk to town, and old ruins. We would return here.
The weather! but that was nothing to do with the hotel. We had a lovely sea view room, but sadly mostly rain, except for the last morning. Time of year I believe...

Very mixed emotions about this hotel. From one hand, it is very close to the beach and to the port, has free parking.
Sun beds allocated per guest which is nice, but if you get a sun bed far away this is very bad and non convenient.

One evening I was not feeling well and my wife went to the dinner with the baby alone and had a stroller. The staff for some reason didn't tell her that she has the buffet restaurant availabe and sent her to the "real" restaurant there. They didn't allow her to keep the stroller next to her, made her sit in front of the baby and not next to her because it was interrupting the staff or something.
Another thing was when I asked for a late check out (only 2 hours delay) it was the first time in my life that I was refused and there was no solution suggested.
The kids club was only from 3 years old for no reason. When we wanted to be with our 2 year old there they didn't allow us. This is the first time im having such a situation. In every other hotel in the world, the kid could be with supervision if they are under the age.
