Fair
The reception staff and especially the lady from the kitchen tried their best to make us feel comfortable.
The hotel is located about a 20–25-minute walk from the center of Larnaca, so it’s not very close. It’s a 2-star hotel, so we didn’t expect too much. Two of the beds were normal, while the other two were folding beds and not very comfortable. The equipment — fridge, TV, and wardrobes — were old and need renovation. The room itself was spacious, and it was cleaned every day, but it seemed to be done superficially since there was still a lot of dust on the doors. One of the walls had traces of dampness and was peeling. The bathroom didn’t have a regular door, only a partition, so it felt like the toilet and the room were one space, though luckily there wasn’t any bad smell. The hotel is right next to a boulevard, and there’s constant noise — even late at night from motorcycles drifting. The rooms have poor sound insulation. It was very unpleasant that an older man, probably the owner, was smoking freely in the hotel lobby, and the smell spread upstairs. Breakfast was miserable, with no variety — the same food every day: one egg, three olives, a slice of cheese, and some salami. You could choose coffee or tea, plus a boiled egg. That’s it — nothing else on the menu.A very poor breakfast, just enough so you don’t stay hungry. The hotel manager left a bad impression — she was not helpful at all and even rude. I wouldn’t recommend it for a longer stay; for one or two nights at most, you can manage.

Good
The hotel is a solid, affordable option for anyone who just needs to spend the night in the city. The area isn't very touristy, but that made it perfect for a quiet, good night's sleep. Very close to the 425 bus stop from and to the airport. Staff was mostly friendly, a modest breakfast was served to the table. Clean and simple, no frills.
There was a bit of a musty smell in the room, but nothing too overwhelming. It would've been nice to have a shampoo provided aside from just the body soap. The mini fridge didn't seem to work, but I didn't need it. The AC being controlled remotely by the reception isn't ideal.

Disappointing
Could get a last minute room and check-in late.
I was missing a single euro for the bus. When I asked to pay a bit more for the room and get some cash in return, they said no, which was disappointing and required me walking 1km in the morning to the nearest ATM to get on a bus.
Shower had no hot water and was leaking into the bathroom.
Turning the AC on / off required calling the lobby. When I called at night to turn the AC slightly off, the night-shift worker didn't understand English so I had to turn it off completely.
Room was overlooking the highway and had very thin walls so was very loud.

Pleasant
At Elysso, I had a very large room with two beds, closet, a desk, TV, bench, and a fridge, plus a balcony and a bathroom with shower, toilet and a sink. So, all you need for a stay. The people who sat outside the outside regularly were always very kind. If you want to get something inexpensive to eat and drink, you can easily reach two supermarkets from there.
The staff is nice, but sometimes it felt like "we hope you don't expect us to do more". And the bath room facilities were partly disappointing. When I flushed the toilet, water ran out from the bottom (clean water, no worries). I once asked the maids (with their shopping cart which they use for the utensils) if this is normal. They washed it away, that's it.
And, one point I personally disliked: the AC is controlled by the receptionist. If you want it to cool the room, you have to ask the receptionist first.
The location is okay if you don't expect to get to the beach. It's true that the hotel is not far from the ocean, but access to the ocean is blocked. To visit the beach, you need to go two kilometers or so westbound.

Poor
I needed a layover between two flights cheap, and I got a cheap layover. (Relatively to Larnaca’s other prices, I wouldn’t say 65eur for a night is really cheap.)
Smoking is allowed everywhere. The room smells, the outside corridor had a large ashtray directly at my door. I had to look twice for a cover sheet for the bed. The air conditioning is managed from the reception, so to turn it on/off, you need to call them. The windows open onto the motorway, so you listen to the revving motorcycles all night.

Location is rather good. It's closed to the center. There's a accessible transport to/from the airport. Good breakfast.
The air conditioning is very old and noisy but it's better than nothing)) i recommended to use ear plugs. The bed is not so comfortable, but I understand that it's very individual...

The location was further away from all the noise of the restaurants, which is exactly what I wanted. The streets can be noisy sometimes, but that is to be expected. Overall good value!

So - Good + Bad - All The Important Stuff - (Spent 2 days there - 1.5 technically)
Room - a bit small, not super super clean, everything worked fine though. Shower was good.
Location - not close to the actual fun part of the city - which is downtown - a 30 min walk (Finikoudes Beach)
Good news - there is someone always at the front desk - I checked in at 3AM - no problems at all.
(even though they didn’t answer me in the messenger when I asked multiple times - I found out for sure when I arrived it is indeed 24 hours front desk service - staff were very nice)
Air Conditioning - you need to CALL the front desk via the room phone every time you want the AC on.
They turn it on remotely - not the greatest - but they do answer and turn it on. If you Open or Close the window AC turns off and you have to call again. I didn’t know this - I thought they were cheap and turned it off after 15 min - was not the case - AC will stay on all night - and the fixed number was 24 degrees
Wifi worked fine - you get a page with a code on it for 1 device - I received one and used it for my phone - and asked for another paper later for my laptop - they did not have any issues giving a me second paper code - which was good.
I stayed because I was looking for somewhere fairly cheap for the first night since I needed guaranteed check in at 3AM - worked fine - in future I know there’s better options downtown if available and at a similar price sometimes - but if not - this is a good cheap option that gets the job done.
There’s a pool upstairs on small roof and not a bad view of the surrounding area.
