My 7-year-old daughter and I had such a great stay here, we barely left the hotel! The grounds are beautiful and you feel like you’re tucked into the jungle. Staff were friendly and helpful. The beach is beautiful and the restaurant food was delicious.

Gorgeous property set in the jungle and nestled right against the beach. It was quiet, clean, and the staff were fantastic. Plenty of sloths and iguanas hanging above.

The hotel is stunning, nestled in lush greenery that gives you the feeling of being deep in the jungle. The rooms are bright, clean, and well-maintained. The pools and hot tub are beautiful, and the front desk and hotel staff are genuinely warm and welcoming. The location is exceptional—close to everything, yet serene.
Room service and dinner quality were both quite good.
The breakfast was underwhelming, more in line with a 3-star experience. Service during breakfast felt slow and disorganized. The massage we received was excellent, though slightly overpriced and outsourced.
We’ve stayed at over 20 hotels across Costa Rica, and this was the first that didn’t offer a coffee machine in the room, which was a surprise. There’s also a noticeable tendency to upsell on everything, which somewhat detracts from the relaxed luxury the hotel aims to offer.

Beautiful, perfectly located. Really felt like we were “off the grid”.
Service at restaurant was not great. They were all very nice and friendly, but you could eat a whole meal waiting on a drink order. Drinks were small for the price. Hot tub never worked. They said they’d turn it on for our last night, but it rained. Lol

Look no further, book this place - we had the best stay! Firstly, it is the best location, short drive to Puerto Viejo but also walking distance of plenty of great restaurants and supermarkets nearby, you can even walk to the Jaguar Rescue. It feels like you're right in the jungle, the landscaping around the hotel is done so well, with the boardwalks through the trees, so all rooms feel really private and quiet and there is wildlife including sloths right amongst the trees in the hotel! Breakfast was great, and in the best spot looking right at the beach. The pools were lovely (we found three during our stay) and all the beach loungers etc. Staff were all really friendly and helpful and nice. DO NOT MISS the morning wildlife walk with the Jungle Man!! We saw eleven sloths in one hour as well as toucans, monkeys and much more! That guy is a legend.
I could nitpick but I just don't want to. Overall I think this place is great value - it is affordable luxury!

Beach View was great from the restaurant however the beach was not user friendly due to the season and wet season. would of like to see a much cleaner beach with more sand.
The hotel hot tub was cold, had to ask twice to turn the heat on, also the location of the hot tub is right under trees and the mosquito level was high, spiders in the tress with web, the plants and tree right above the hot tub makes the tub half filled with debris which clogs the filter area. Needs to be better maintain as the experience was not felt.

The location was great. The property grounds are beautiful and lots of wildlife. Pools are cool and look pretty from afar. The front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. There is a band some nights which was fantastic.
The pool as well as some bathrooms around the property need some attention and maintenance. The nicest pool with the most sun needed maintenance and there was the sewer smell coming from the broken bathrooms. The “Hot” tub is not hot AT ALL. same temp as the pool. Very disappointing. The rooms are very subpar. While large they lack beauty and quality. The bed was ok the pillows were terrible. The white tiling everywhere has stained yellow grout. The floor lamp had a terrible flicker at random and there really wasn’t sufficient lighting if you just want to have the curtains closed to get dressed. There was no full length mirror. The Ac unit woke us up at 4 am making some ridiculous noise so we had to turn it off. The door must be slammed in order to close, as well as everyone else’s doors so you hear that a lot. The restaurant staff are not over friendly or accommodating given they have higherj prices than most everywhere else nearby. Even the included breakfast was truly unpleasant and good luck getting them to pour you coffee. This was the most expensive place we stayed and was honestly the worst value by fary
