Beautiful place, very relaxing, usually quiet other than the one day the neighbors were doing some construction work. Staff was super friendly and helpful, not the most social place but I just walked down to another hostel for partying and came back here to get my nice quiet sleep.
I like to cook but their kitchen wasn’t available for guest use even though the ladies were nice enough to let me store things in the fridge and lend me utensils when i needed it.

This hotel is set a bit away from the main road but totally walkable to everything. The rooms are decorated so lovely, you feel calm as you walk in the door. The lobby is just as serene with local plants growing throughout, and hummingbirds flying through. Cats on premise visit you if you like ?
Besides the beauty, you will find the women who attend to the front desk are so welcoming and incredibly helpful. Anything you need, they will help you. They will arrange things for you and advise on where to visit.
Can’t say enough about this hotel!!

The location was pretty close to some bars.
The room did NOT have A/C (and it was HOT), there were not glass windows (only holes with mesh on them), there is a shared bathroom that is NOT connected to the room, the shared bathroom always stinks, the shared bathroom does not have a window (just has a hole in the wall that leads directly to outside to where anyone outside can see in), the room was full of mosquitoes (had a mosquito net but it did not even reach to the floor and it was so hot that the fan blew the net open), there was no parking lot for if you have a car, the beds were hard as rocks, and they said they did not do refunds when we came to them with all of our concerns about the place (we left after the 1st night even though we paid for 3 days).

The room was very clean; I loved the outdoor bathroom setup. Also,I stayed at three other hotels while in Costa Rica, and the water pressure and temperature here beat them out of the park. It was strong, hot, and consistent.
The bed was so hard, it felt like I was sleeping on bricks.
Also, the staff leaves at 8 pm, which I didn't actually like. Especially since I was the only guest in the hotel.
There is a man who stays on the property overnight for any concerns, and there is an emergency button if you need help, but no one told me this until my last day.

Clean place in a great location. Beds were comfortable. The water is not potable, but drinking water is provided for filling your water bottles. No AC, but we didn’t need it. The fan in the room was sufficient.
Toilet paper can’t be flushed, but that’s not unique in Costa Rica. The neighbor’s rooster can be a little rambunctious if you want to sleep in.

The hotel is very well maintained. It is spotless! the common area is very welcoming with sofas and hammocks.
The rooms were cleaned daily, changing the sheets and towels.
We stayed in a family room with one big fan in the ceiling set to one speed. We all woke up with stiff back and neck.

I loved my stay here! Cindy, Mercedes and Almut took the best care of me and the hotel was perfect :) open space, very comfortable and clean room and just a stone’s throw away from the main road, shops, restaurants, bars and a beautiful local beach - I literally couldn’t have asked for better or more! If you’re looking for warm and friendly staff, and a clean and comfortable place to lay your head in a central location, then I would highly recommend a stay here :)
I hope to return one day soon!

Beautiful facilities, the flower, foliage, ambience...excellent
The beds were not the most comfortable, my back hurt and I couldn't wait to get to my bed for a good night's sleep. Also, it would have been nice to have kitchen access for tea, coffee, drinks..that part was missing. There was a homey atmosphere minus kitchen access

The hotel is close to the beach and most restaurants in Puerto Viejo. Staff is quite friendly, room was large, and the hotel has a close contact to nature
I always choose room with breakfast, but breakfast was too expensive; anyway CosTa Rica is a very expensive country

Windows in the room didn’t have any glass in, only mosquito nets, which was fine but didn’t feel that private
