The property was on the edge of the small town, convenient to shops and restaurants, with direct beach access.

Our hosts Silvana and her husband were so kind and accommodating. They helped us with everything, from finding tour guides/locals for certain activities to helping us cook our fish we caught in the morning! Silvana was very easy to communicate with in person and on WhatsApp. They have done a great job with the grounds/gardens and you will see plenty of hummingbirds in the morning on your semi-private patio. I always felt safe on their grounds and they have the cutest pets!! The location was phenomenal with a minute walk to a very unique and beautiful beach. The walk into town is 15-20 minutes depending on your pace or a $5 tuktuk ride. EVERYONE (shuttle drives, tour companies, uber and tuktuk drivers) knows 'Rocking Js', which is next door, so it was super easy getting a ride. It's $10 uber to Punta Uva and $14 uber to Manzanillo. You can definitely bike to Cocles and rent bikes for cheap at Rocking Js (like $5 daily, not even). All prices I provided were in USD. The beach alone is worth it to me and the photos only project a fraction of the beauty of this place. It is perfect for anyone, from solo to couples, and friends and families so long as they enjoy being outdoors or looking for peace and tranquility. The natural pools make for a relaxing and safe environment, as the waves break on the natural rock. It is so fun to explore the tide pools. There is plenty of space to sprawl out even with the patrons from Rocking Js. If you are lucky and remember to look up, you may even spot a local sloth! I think this place captures the true essence of 'Pura Vida' and I'd like to return here someday, but when it's cooler. :) We stayed 4 nights here and highly recommend this place for easy going and like-minded travelers. It is not for the picky traveler but this is where the locals stay with their families, so it felt like an authentic experience. Tough it out and you will be rewarded with a once in a lifetime experience.

The room is basic but clean and big. It has a nice kitchenette, and you can hear the waves nearby, 2 min walk. The lovely Italians owners are there to help you with whatever you need. There is an Italian restaurant next to the accommodation. The centre is 15 min walk along the beach

We stayed for more than a week and booked the large room with a view of the sea - this was the perfect home-base for Puerto Viejo. Our room was very comfy and had a well-appointed kitchen. We enjoyed having our morning coffee on the balcony with the view of the beach, the sea, and the monkeys and sloths which occasionally passed through the trees. The location is great, with a few steps to the beach. One needs about 10 minutes on foot to the main area of Puerto Viejo. On the other side, the beatiful Cocles beach is not that far either. The hosts are lovely, offered many suggestions and contacts, and were very helpful. There is a restaurant attached to the property, which was great for lazy dinners, with delicious food. I realise I'm very complimentary, but we just really, really loved it here and just wish we could have stayed even longer.

It was right at the beach and the outside garden area and covered porch were amazing to just chill. The host is a true gem. Very kind and helpful.

Great location! Walking distance to downtown Pto Viejo and Cocles beach. The backyard is literally the ocean, not great for swimming but nice for snorkeling and just enjoying the ocean views. The host is present, very friendly and helpful. I'm grateful to have found this place and stayed 3 nights, this made my stay in Pto Viejo complete!

Right on the water where there was good snorkeling between the rocks. Just down the street from the beach. Located on the end of the main road so everything is close but still quiet at night. Giorgio was an amazing host. Plus we loved their two dogs Sol and Luna!

The house was perfect and its located next to the sea. Its very convenient and there is a hammock on the garden where you can lay and relax. The owners are super friendly and helpful. Can't wait to return and stay again there!

nice location, could walk a coastal path from the property to town or other beaches. The room had good facilities, kitchen, shower, sofa, shelves, comfy bed. air con, veranda. I used thier resturant which was very good.
