10/10! Gorgeous cabins with clean, comfortable rooms. The staff were so kind and welcoming! And they had two adorable dogs running around, a cute fish pond, and a tree inside the main common space! And the location was amazing, off the main road but within easy walking distance to everything!

Amazing place! Very nice and kind owner, we enjoyed every minutes! It had all we needed and Puerto Viejo is just great!

We had a great day in Cabinas Monte Sol. Location is very convenient, close to Puerto Viejo center,many restaurants and bakeries, and also walkable to the Cocles Beach. And it is in a very quiet location, which is a huge plus. There is a tree in front of a hotel, where you can spot huge iguanas, sloths, toucans, etc. The owner lives nearby and she is very, very nice an and helpful. We stayed in the bungalow, cooked breakfast every day and had it on the porch. The bathroom is updated and has hot water. We used the king bed and it was very comfortable.

Nice atmosphere; we loved the way the place looks and the open space with tables and seats for Shared use; like the kitchen. However, this was closed at breakfast time and as of early evening so that it was not much use and we couldn’t get to our stuff in the fridge. The roof of our room leaked, so our 2nd night we spent with rain inside the room… The location is perfect, so is parking. Very nice people too. Close to almost perfect ?

We enjoyed our time at Cabinas Montesol. It is perfectly located close to the beach and close to many restaurants and bars. The room was quite spacious and the staff were friendly. They even let us check in a bit earlier, which was really lovely. This is a really affordable, good option for Puerto Viejo.

Cozy room with a little outside sitting area. The shared kitchen was really helpful to prepare some snacks. Location is great in the center of town but a little secluded. Really helpful staff with a lot of recommendations for the area.

The staff is amazing. The room is simple but its enough. The place is beautiful and the location is excellent. Near the beach and the restaurants. They were so lovely with us! Help us with the car and the baggage while we were in other country. Its an amazing place!

Lovely lady on reception when we arrived,very helpful with places to visit and restaurants to eat in. Perfectly located and a short walk from the very centre. Highly recommend.

Everything was incredibly clean, including the room and the shared bathroom (shared bathroom literally the cleanest bathroom I’ve seen in a long time!!) Beds were comfortable, it was quiet, the staff were lovely and helpful. Couldn’t ask for much more!

Easily reached. A little walk off the main street, although on a dirt road. Staff was around at certain times.

The location is absolutely perfect for discovering Puerto Viejo—everything is within walking distance, from charming cafes to beautiful beaches. The cleanliness of the entire property stood out, and I was impressed with how peaceful and relaxing the environment was despite being so close to all the action. The value for the money here is exceptional, making it an excellent choice for solo travelers like me or anyone seeking a cozy, convenient place to stay. Highly recommend Cabinas Monte Sol for your Puerto Viejo adventure!
