Great location. Good bird watching from front porch. Nice kitchen. Air conditioning works well. Hot water in shower. Friendly staff.
Many mosquitos in the cabin. There should be mosquito nets for the beds.

The pool was fantastic to spend a good time with peers and just staying on chill mood.
The TV size and performance, but that is good since you can spend your time outside.

We had a nice stay at the calalu bungalows. Imna (the owner) was very generous and was always there to help us. The bungalows are very clean and Big, aswell as good located. We enjoyed our stay a lot.

Very nice cabin, made of good quality wood. Aircondition and WIFI working well. Friendly people, willing to help. Everthing is nearby.
I recommand to rent a bicycle to explore the area. (10 USD/day) A car is not needed. Come with "Interbus" or "Carebean shuttle"
Even with 3 People you should calculate the price (for one: 71 USD from any place in San Jose to any place in Puerto Veije including all costs).
To pay with booking.com in advance might be an option. But I was told, it does not be allowed in Costa Rica.

The little bungalows are lovely and spacious. We enjoyed the high ceilings and the big outside terrace with it's many seating options a lot. Thanks to the clever planting, we had the feeling of a very private space in and around our bungalow and could even watch birds, squirrels and lizards from the balcony.
The fridge inside the room as well as the big and nice pool gave us welcoming refreshments in the hot caribean climate.
The host family as was very nice and helpful, helped us with all our questions and kept the place nice and clean.

The resort is close to town but secluded enough that you feel you are away from the main town. The bungalow was clean. The pool is nice. The owners were very attentive and made sure we were enjoying our stay. We have stayed in lots of places in Puerto viejo and this was by far the best. We will definitely be back.

Super quiet but close to Talamanca’s bustle. Nice bungalows. Nice pool. We were passing through but could have settled in and made full use of the kitchen.
We would have liked a fan and warm water in the shower.

A cabin in the jungle. It is a completely enclosed area with a wall around and several cabins inside. It has a very nice swimming pool. The cabin we were in had a small kitchen outside and a neat porch. The room is small but had two beds and the air conditioning worked very well.
Bathroom was a weird design. The showering area was completely open in the bathroom. No way to lock the door to the bathroom.

Good location not far from the beach amd town centre, an ok pool and then a garden full of different cabins. I liked we had a separate cabin, it had a terrace and outdoor kitchen, otherwise pretty basic.
It was fine, maybe just could refurbished a bit.

Lovely location.

The bungalows are separated by pretty paths, trees, and many plants.
Nice front porch
We left something and they helped us get it back without having to go 6 hours round trip to get it.
A blanket and an extra pillow. I could have asked for these, but it's nice to have them in the room.

The location is perfectly situated at around a five minute walk from the hustle and bustle of the town, allowing you to get there quickly while still providing a secluded feel and quiet jungle environment. The amenities are great and the hosts are incredibly hospitable and helpful. Would 10/10 recommend.
Wi-Fi is a bit inconsistent but works at decent speeds most of the time.
