I liked the personnel. They were very welcoming, helpful and willing to answer any questions you might have in regards to touristic activities. Also, I liked that each apartment was equipped with a 5 gallon water dispenser which is really good beacause not every hotel or vacation rental apartments offer it. Moreover, the apartment also had great AC in each bedroom. Additionally, I liked the location because it is a quiet and safe area.
I did not like the towels, they were very old. In addition, I didn't like the refrigerator since it did not work properly; it kept things warm instead of cold. Furthermore, there was this smell that came from the bathdroom faucets. Probably this was due to the fact that in the Island water is recycled from the ocean and treated so it could be used around the house.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tropical Coral and even extended it. Hotel is small and run by a very friendly family who is very welcoming and provides all the needed information, they can book tours for you at very reasonable price. Meals are not provided but you have a small kitchen and vending machine on site. Our room was large with basic equipment but we had all we needed. The walls are quite thin but this wasn’t a problem as mainly families were staying at the hotel and there was no noise after 10pm. Location of the hotel itself is around 30min walk from main beach and 40min walk from town center. It’s nice because you’re away from town noise in a quiet street, just a few meters away from the sea. To move around the island, you can take a taxi to city for 15.000 or rent a scooter or use a local bus from a stop at the corner of the street as we did.
Perhaps a bit more space for clothes and a sofa in a room would be nice. Shower could use a spray nozzle. Ping pong table is nice but having a room next to it can be loud sometimes.

The apartment was really nice in a quiet area, so not so close to the city center but not so far either, which was good for us. Owners where really helpful and they have tours and activities to recommend.

The staff (Jennifer) was very attentive, helped us with getting taxis and ordering breakfast delivery. There were some nice touches like a kitchenette in our room, they gave us our own water bottle, and the common areas were well laid out and comfortable.
The location is a little far from the beach and restaurants. We like to walk whenever possible. We just had to take more taxis than we like to. And unfortunately there was no hot water for the showers.

Overall, San Andres Island a fantastic vacation destination! The local people were super kind and friendly and you can eat some really good, fresh fish there! We had a fun time on the island!
Our stay at this hotel was fantastic! The manager, Johnathan, has a wonderful personality and was waiting for our us when we arrived. He explained everything and we were able to pay by credit card. He is such a great guy! We love him! Special thanks to the owner, who was kind enough to give us a ride to the airport and his mother who held our luggage while we went to the beach before our flight. We enjoyed the 20 minute walk to the centro and even though it might appear a bit sketchy walking back late at night, it was really safe. It was a marvelous experience!
The only minor issue we had was the inability to connect to the Wi-Fi because the entire island has terrible cellular reception but we managed without this.

the kitchen was clean but I wouldn’t exactly feel comfortable using it, everything (incl cutlery and utensils) looked very old - but this is just the island of San Andres, don’t expect modern tourist infrastructure
