I had room no 28, by far the best view of the valley and river. Spacious room. Breakfast and dinner are very good, Sebastian is the best waiter of San Agustn!

Always very happy to return here. The rooms are nicely made, very clean and comfortable. The location is breathtaking, with its spectacular views across the Magdalena river and cannon. The restaurant on side has many tasty options. The staff is very friendly. Amazing place to stay, relax or catch the inspiration:-)

Breakfast and view were great. Even though I can't speak much English, Lorena and Gabby were extremely helpful and could also speak pretty good English to bat! Yeah! Great Location, very hilly short walk to San Agustin Centro. Best to have a car.

The location of the hostal is just amazing. We chose a room with a view on the mountains, and the view and environment is incredible. The room was very clean and the bed super comfy. The breakfast, included in our booking, was delicious too! And the personal of the hotel were very nice. I would definitely recommend!

Seriously, this is an amazing location. If you stay there, splash out and get the accommodation with river view. Very comfortable bed and stylishly decorated room. Staff friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the pool table in the main area. Would definitely recommend.

We had a great stay at Masaya. We loved the open common area where our kids enjoyed playing billiards, ping pong, and with the big blocks. We enjoyed the food very much and loved the included breakfast choices. Our hut was comfortable and quiet for a good night's sleep. We read some other comments before booking so were worried about noise, and the walk to the main hut, but we have no complaints. It was a unique and wonderful experience. There were paths to the view point and around the grounds that our kids loved to explore. When you visit the archeological parks, ask reception for Oscar or Santiago to drive you all around the area for a reasonable price.
Being out in nature, we came across some large spiders in our hut. This is unavoidable, but travelers who dislike spiders should be warned.

Location was fantastic, the view from our room spectacular; the hotel is so beautiful! The best rooms are the ones with the view of the mountains and the Magdalena river.

Location is unmatched. Bungalows are very nice and well designed. Surroundings are so beautiful. Everything is very new and clean. Restaurant is really good with friendly staff
Upon check-in, the staff was a little distracted. You did not get the feeling that you were the guest. Also the activities are way overpriced.

The room was beautiful, clean, and had a really terrific view. The whole of the hotel is beautifully built, and fits in well with the local scenery. Ecofriendly and gives the feeling of being outdoors, yet still luxurious. It's not too far from the main attractions of the area, and the front desk staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. They are able to arrange excellent drivers and tour guides. The food and drinks in the restaurant and bar are also top notch. Great value for money overall.
The rooms are quite a distance away from the reception area, and I was not offered any assistance in getting to my room with all of my luggage. Luckily I had packed light, but had I taken one of my suitcases with wheels it would have been impossible as the whole road to the rooms is uphill and gravel. The waiters in the restaurant were also slow and inattentive at times.

It's Masaya San Agustin. That's all.obviously it's the best, most romantic,best food, mas tranquilo, place and the staff treat you like you are important and are so sweet, the massage was awesome too. Our second time and we'll be back next year. San Agustin and Masaya are a tradition for us. Unforgettable.

The view in the morning from the terrace was exceptional. The breakfasts were hearty and delicious and we ate here both nights at the restaurant because the flavors could not be beat! The rooms were clean, modern, and the shower was wonderful....hot, hot water with lots of space to move!
I wish it were a tad closer to town, but I wouldn't let this affect my reason to stay here. It is an amazing place!

The whole place is beautiful and different, it is quite a location and setting.
It can be really cold at night and there is no way to heat the room up, we had a cold due to the trip (A/C mostly) and weather changes, so a warm place to sleep was needed.
Breakfast is nice, except the coffee, tasteless all the time, something that just cannot happen in the region and in Colombia!
Hosts were really noisy in room areas as if nobody else is sleeping or resting, an effort for all to be quiet is mostly needed
