Wonderful
The A/C and location was good, everything within walking distance. Breakfast was simple yet good.
They surface clean, I saw some stains on my beddings and pillows. They made the bed but didn’t deep clean much. Traffic is loud! Bathroom is way smaller than the pictures they show.

I had a great stay at patio de Getsamani. The staff were truly the highlight, attentive, welcoming, and always going the extra mile to make sure everything was comfortable and seamless. Their hospitality really made the experience stand out.
The room itself offers a peaceful atmosphere, which is perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The location is excellent!
Overall, I’d absolutely recommend staying here if you’re looking for great service and a quiet place to unwind but close to all the excitement the walled city has to offer.
Everything was great

I had a long and stressful travel and booked this hotel. When I arrived I was greeted with breakfast and an eager staff to make my experience wonderful. Leo was very accomodating. Thank you!

The staff and their useful tips and info. Everybody was so nice! The place is amazing beautiful rooftop with a jacuzzi to enjoy the view after a hot day.
Easter weekend was particularly noisy and we couldn’t sleep the first night because of a people playing music till 7am in the park in front. Not usual and Not the property fault.

This was the best stay in our trip in Colombia. Before coming to Patio de Getsemani we were somewhat disappointed by how we were treated by people that we've interacted with in Colombia, but everything changed when we got here. All the staff is welcoming, very attentive and kind and they provided us with a lot of useful information and suggestions. The place is located in a good area in Getsemani, from where you can easily get to the walled city or explore the rest of Getsemani. We felt great while we stayed here and would definitely come back again. Cheers to Leo, Alba and the rest of the staff!
There's nothing that we didn't like. Initially we thought of booking a different accommodation because we've seen other reviews mentioning that there's no hot water, but unless you are travelling with a baby, that won't be a concern. My wife doesn't normally do cold showers but she still enjoyed them. The water is not actually cold, but lukewarm. Or at least it's not cold compared to cold water in Europe. Last but not least, Cartagena is hot and humid, so I doubt most people would take hot showers

Leo, Alba, and Eime were each so very welcoming and helpful. The.decor was simple and lovely. We especially enjoyed the quiet rooftop with the great view of water then new white high rises and the old Fort. Breakfasts were good and they do try to vary them with different fruits, etc. But by the end of 5 days we were pretty tired of eggs! Our room was great with balcony doors overlooking the old wall and water and even though we are light sleepers, surprisingly the street noise didn’t keep us awake. And we liked being so close to the quaint and crowded streets of Getsemani but around the corner just away from it all.
Nada!

Very Good
Staff was excellent; felt like home. The room was comfortable and clean. Pretty hotel. Delicious and filling breakfast. Good value for the money.
- No hot water, which they should tell in the hotel description.
- Be aware rooms can be loud; I needed earplugs. My room was street facing with balcony and got lots of street noise. Morning was also loud from breakfast happening downstairs.
- One night there were many large ants in my floor. I’m not sure where they came from, but I killed them and they didn’t come back.

The staff here are amazing. They went out of their way to be welcoming. They made the experience with their hospitality. The rooms are simple, but very clean. The AC works great. Iron and hairdryer were available upon request. The breakfast was simple and delicious. Very thankful for the vegetarian options everyday!
Location is great and close to everything. About 12 min walk to the walled city. I felt very safe at all times as a woman traveling alone.
No negatives really! Only thing is that the wifi wasn’t as strong in my room, but that could have been my device’s issue and not the hotel.

This place has a lot going for it:
- location is right in Getsemani and is close to all the interesting sites
- Leo (the owner) and his staff are wonderful and go over and beyond to make sure your every need is met. Leo spent lots of time giving me recommendations on what I could do as I was only there for a short visit
- while the rooms aren’t big, the bed is very comfortable and the AC is very welcomed; also very clean
- the breakfast, while simple, is excellent
Unfortunately while I was there, the Getsemanj neighborhood was celebrating its days of independence and the partying was heavy - I could hear music that shook the walls until late into the night. I hardly slept but this has nothing to do with the accommodation and more about the neighborhood. I was doing a long trek the following days - otherwise I would have joined the festivities and slept in. Leo was kind enough to serve me tea to help me fall asleep.

Super cute and clean little hotel run by the KINDEST couple and staff. They speak a little English. Safe area near all of Getsemani. 18 min walk across town to far side of El Centro. Wonderful breakfasts (eggs/toast/ fruit/coffee). Beer, water etc available at hotel. Cute rooftop (jacuzzi plunge pool only). Great AC in room. Housekeeping offers to come by everyday. Safe in room. I couldn’t figure out how to work it (I could have asked but didn’t) so we didn’t use it and all our items were untouched when we returned after room had been serviced. Felt very safe. Windows in the rooms only look out into interior atrium but was still cute.
Nothing. All was great.

The best part of the property is the people! This is where you want to stay for an authentic and comfortable visit to Cartagena. It is a safe neighborhood and the premise is guarded excellently with cameras, a metal gate and 24 hour reception. The breakfast is delicious and the owners are two of the kindest people I have met in this world. I arrived with motion sickness from my flight and they worked hard to get me into a room early to lie down. Then went above and beyond by bringing me tea to my room free of charge from the kindness of their hearts. PLEASE stay here and support local business!! For the girlies- it is so cute for pics, the AC is amazing and there are big mirrors to get ready in. You simply turn a block and las fiestas are there for you. Or you turn another block and a calm Caribbean restaurants awaits you. Thank you patio Gestemani?
Everything is perfect. I have no complaints.

We loved staying at Patio de Getsemani for our first time in Cartagena! Leo and Esperanza were such lovely hosts - they stayed up late for us after we arrived from the airport quite late, they gave us lots of tips and advice, and provided a really lovely breakfast. They were so welcoming and were very friendly and warm despite our poor spanish language skills. We loved the area - very interesting and fun streets, including lots of nice cafes and restaurants, the Sunday morning local baseball game, and it felt very safe. It was a nice walk to the centre of town too. The room was also very comfortable - the aircon was a blessing given the heat and humidity, the bed very comfortable, and the shower refreshing (no hot water necessary).
My only suggestion would be to maybe move breakfast to the roof top, as maybe that would help prevent noise from travelling from the foyer to the rooms.

Very Good
The staff was amazing and so helpful. Leo and Amy and Esperanza made the stay so good. The location is excellent, right on the outskirts so not as noisy but close enough to walk safely through Getsemani and the old City.and to Fort Filipe. I would definitely stay there again.
It is not a 5 star hotel and the amenities reflect that. The bathroom room was really small.
