The location is good
The bedrooms dont have a window, which should be illegal. Smell of humidity and mold. Not enough room for your stuff, no light.
One guy at the reception gave us a key from another room, when I opened the door, there was a woman lying in bed, pretty upset, which is understandable.

The staff are very respectful, the hotel atmosphere is very comfortable and safe, the cleanliness is good, and the location is excellent.
The breakfast is sparse and very limited; the fruit bowl looks as if it were meant for a child, and the amount of jam doesn’t exceed a teaspoon, served in a tiny plastic container that resembles a toy.

The coffee was fantastic. The staff was super friendly and helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was very delicious and authentic. Location was very central to many places and things to do.
I did not like that the photos of the room I booked was not the actual room as it is today. The photos do not show a bunkbed in the room where the full size bed is. I was very disappointed to see bunk beds in that room. It felt more like a room for families or multiple people staying in the main bedroom.

Wonderful
The property is very clean over all, the staff is friendly and amazing, go above and beyond to know your name and make you feel welcome. The location is perfect. Within walking distance of almost everything and so centrally located with fabulous restaurants, live music, just a short block or two away. I only had breakfast, which was included, at their restaurant, however it was good, fruit, eggs, and a few choices to go with those. Staff speaks English and when I was there, the majority of guests did as well.

High marks for the staff - so helpful, so attentive - great resource for navigating our Cartagena experience.
Loved the hot coffee and cold water all day - that kept us going! The food in the restaurant was also really good.
Our room was so small and with one very small window - it didn’t match the photo on the reservation. We found we only wanted to sleep and bathe in the room. Unfortunately, the common areas are also very limited, so our down time was spent hanging out in reception with the fabulous staff.

Amazing breakfast! They have different local options every day. People were very nice, very helpful with recommendations, answering questions, etc. Our room was a bit small but it was comfy. Location is perfect! Very close to the historic center and right next to Getsemani. Would definitely come back!

Amazing staff, super friendly and informative. Rooms are small but clean and cozy. Breakfast is amazing, with different options every day! Location is perfect, it is located in the lively Getsemani, and walking distance to the historic centre. Great experience!

Loved the hostel! Staff were amazing! Cooking class was so fun! The room was nice and clean. Air con was so nice and cool each night! The area is really nice and it's really close to the old town and lots of bars. Included breakfast was tasty every day. So happy with our stay here

We enjoyed our stay at Life is Good Hostel. The breakfast was wonderful. It included a Colombian option with fresh fruit every morning. We appreciated how the staff knew our names and were willing to practice speaking Spanish with us. One evening, we had a problem with our shower drain. The staff were easy to communicate with during the situation and fixed the drain promptly. We would recommend staying at Life is Good to anyone and hope to stay there again in the future.
