Such a lovely place!!! The place is beautiful. Loved hanging out at the rooftop pool. Having breakfast made for us everyday was so nice. I would recommend this place to everyone. Such good value for money.

Lovely old building in excellent location.
The staff was sometimes friendly, sometimes not. There is some basic customer greeting, etc. that could be improved.

Wonderful
Super hotel, full of charm and perfectly located in the heart of the old town. The property is rich in history, and they’ve done a great job preserving its authentic character while offering all the comfort of a modern 4-star hotel.
Lots of thoughtful details throughout — from the beautiful patio and cosy library to the rooftop pool with great views. It was truly a special and memorable experience.
Tip: If you can, ask for the first room downstairs — it was spacious with high ceilings, and I’m pretty sure it’s one of the best rooms in the hotel. It really added to the overall charm and comfort of our stay.
One small downside: there was stagnant water near the indoor tree, which unfortunately attracted quite a few mosquitoes. It would be great if the hotel could look into this, as everything else was very well

Beautiful old building, amazing location bang in the centre of Cartagena, lovely rooftop pool with great view and charming owner. We loved our stay at this beautiful hotel.
Nothing, it was all great. If you're limited mobility, you might struggle getting up the stairs as there is no elevator.

The property had old world charm with modern amenities. The staff was so accommodating and helpful. Breakfast was made to order and served with a smile. Henri, the owner, is charming, witty and attentive. Location is superb.

Just about everything. Perfect location one block from the crowded messy crowed streets, amazing staff, beautiful property, very clean, safe and really cool mezzanine bedroom!! The owner also went above and beyond to take care of us.
They seem to do the classic Colombian style breakfast which is good. I just wish it was buffet style. But that’s the experience!!

Very Good
Beautiful common spaces, great atmosphere due to the architecture and furnishings in the common areas (less so in the room).
Perfect location in the center of the old town but within easy walk to Getsemani as well as to the Bocagrande beach.
The hotel has no bar or options to buy any food/drinks but there are lots of cafes, restaurants, juice stands in the vicinity, even across the street.
We had the highest floor room. It didn’t bother us but others might mind the steps.

Initially we settled in Casa Cordoba Estrella (one of three properties in the group within the city). It is a beautiful building and all the rooms are well away from street noise. Room was very clean. The library area is a fantastic calm spot.
Staff were friendly. When the first room went wrong (see below) we were moved into a self contained apartment which felt like an upgrade.
Our first room was one with orange walls in the photos. It has a very high ceiling and there appeared to be lots of condensation on the walls. When we switched the aircon off, water pooled on the floor next to the bed. We were told it was condensation. The next day there was a huge rainstorm and the roof leaked badly. The hotel arranged for us to move to a nice apartment in Cordoba Roman.
This Casa Roman building is only apartments and has no staff on site. As another reviewer has pointed out, you have to be buzzed in and out remotely, The front door locking seems flimsy. Didn't really feel secure. It's a busy and noisy street.
Breakfasts at Estrella were a bit plain considering the price paid.

Very Good
The place is a wonderful colonial house in the very center of Cartagena - everything within the wall city is walking distance. The room is big and well equipped.
Breakfast could definitely improve. There's only one limited option each day.
