The location, while at the outer edge of the walled city, is excellent. A large supermarket is just around the corner. And Ubers are cheap and easy from this location. Walk to all the attractions of gorgeous San Diego neighborhood. Casa Serrezuela is impeccably clean: the room, the bathroom, the pool, and common areas. Not a speck of dust! The pool area is so charming and we cooled off several times a day in the pool, which is always open to you. The ambience of a real colonial era home makes this place very special, from the centuries old wooden beams, to the artwork surrounding you at every step. There is even a small kitchen available for you to use on the 2nd floor. Marlon, the caretaker was so kind and helpful with any questions we had. And it was always a pleasure to greet our hostess, Rosy. Don’t think twice, book the room. It’s an incredible value.

Staff are wonderful; free use of kitchen; lovely outdoor spaces; grocery store one block away yet still in historic part of town; quiet; pool and rooftop terrace; there's so much to love about this place!
The difficulty of getting an official receipt stating I paid in full. Eventually I received a hand-written receipt, but it struck me as odd.

Wonderful
Great place located in the heart of the Walled City. The room was comfortable and staff extremely nice and helpful. The small pool is a blessing in the humid heat of the city.
Sometimes a bit loud, the french doors to the room didn't close properly (ok to lock) so we could hear a lot of noise if people were talking outside in the patio. Nothing dramatic though, it wasn't a problem to keep the room cold thanks to the AC so that's what matters.
