Gorgeous, hotel and stylish, historic rooms in a wonderful part of Cartagena. This is a kind of place that makes you feel like a celebrity. It’s truly special so much so that we ended up spending a lot of time there during the very hot afternoons, lounging on the beautiful sun beds by the pool on the roof deck.
The staff did not seem prepared to serve breakfast in a timely manner in the morning, when many guests were trying to get out the door for tours or departures. We typically sat for 30 minutes or more waiting for someone to get us coffee and longer to actually get a meal.

Location, location, location. Perfectly situated in a great section of the old city within walking distance of everything. The small rooftop pool is an added bonus that we really enjoyed. Breakfast is super yummy and customizable. Security is very good so random people are not wandering into the hotel.
More than we usually/ever pay for a hotel room, but the location and the options for pampering salve some of the "pain"!

The room was nicely decorated and spacious. The breakfast was nice.
The staff were unaccommodating in several instances. The level of service in proportion to the price paid was not satisfactory. Very little effort was made to make us feel comfortable. When we arrived early and asked to take a shower, we were told we would have to book a massage first (per person). The "welcome drinks" were charged to us and we had to argue (an uphill battle) that the service person told us they were complimentary. The room was booked for 3 people, and yet the towels and toiletries were arranged for 2. When we gave some of this feedback real time, we were met by some of the staff more coldly throughout our stay. Booking the presidential suite we expected better service.

I really liked our room which had two bathrooms. Even though there was loud music outside, we did not really hear it that much inside our room. The service and staff were great. Our room was so tidy and clean every time we came back from exploring the city! I liked the rooftop bar and pool a lot! One night while at the rooftop we got to see fireworks coming from somewhere near the pier, such a nice surprise. Also, I felt safe at the hotel which I did not fully realize before I got there, because of how centrally located the place is.
We stayed 5 days and like other reviews mentioned, we loved the healthy breakfast the first and second day but by the 4th day we were tired of it. It would have been great to have other options to order. Also a little gym to work out a little at least.

It’s beautiful - traditional Colombian culture combined with luxury and relaxation. The staff - Franklin, Tata, and others were so kind and so helpful. The facilities were clean, the food amazing, and the location was central to everything. It was two woman traveling and felt very safe here. 10/10 recommend to others.

A really magical, centrally located hotel. Service was great. The building itself is beautiful and decorated with really good taste. Massages were very good and the yoga teachers were amazing. Breakfast could be slightly better (still very good), the lunch/dinner menu was fantastic and the best food we had in Cartagena.

An absolutely charming property, an oasis of care, indulgence and luxury in the middle of the city. The location is absolutely perfect, the team is exceptional, the food is delicious, the facilities are top notch, beautiful design. Exceptional setting. And an exceptional owner, Caroline, who really cares about her guests. I travel a lot and have experienced hundreds of hotels by now. Casa Carolina is an absolute crush and I will for sure be back.

We loved our stay at casa Carolina, the location and facilities are amazing, the hotel is even more beautiful than the photos! We enjoyed the breakfast and the hotel room was a great size and spotless
We appreciate the hotel has only opened recently but felt some of the staff weren’t friendly on reception and didn’t guide us when we arrived. The bar staff could be more proactive but as I said this could be teething problems!

Location was perfect inside the old city, close to a lot of attractions. This hotel was a little of a splurge for me but I do not regret it. Great hotel the included breakfast was great, staff was helpful and friendly. Beautiful building I really enjoyed it. AC was great I am not used to the heat that and it was good to be able to duck back to cool off. Really nice hotel I would stay again if I return. Because it is in the middle of things it was a little loud, but I had ear plugs so not problem, it was worth it to be so close to many attractions
a light sleeper might want to have earplugs it is near a big plaza that has a lot of fun stuff going on

What a treat it was to be able to experience this newly renovated gem! Everything was beautiful and there was no detail left out. Especially as an interior designer, I was in awh of it all. Then to top of it off the family and staff were all amazing and so attentive. The morning breakfast was lovely and so amazing as well. We usually skip breakfasts but I literally don't think we missed a single morning! It was a bit loud in the evenings but that was to be expected considering it is in the heart of the city, which we loved being to centrally located and walking distance to everything. I hope to return again some day to this little gem!
Make sure to check out the different room types ahead of time - I didn't love that our room didn't have much for natural light/windows. I can appreciate the architecture of the property though so it wasn't really a huge deal - I just would have selected a different room given the chance.
