Our stay at Casa Pestagua was an absolute dream. The space is stunning and the service is top tier. The pool is beautiful, spacious and green with macaws and vibrant tropical birds stopping by. The breakfast is delicious and I'm sure they squeezed the juices to order
The
rooms were so, so comfortable, we slept like babies every night. The rooms had every amenity we could have asked for. The location inside the walled city was fun, safe and not disruptive.
My wife and I travel a lot and occasionally will splurge on a fancy hotel. This is top three in the world and #1 service. Everyone - German, Karen, Carlos to name just a couple - were so kind, accommodating and genuinely invested in us having the best stay, including making my wife feel extra special on her birthday. We travel to take in the culture, and while we love Colombia and all it has to offer, it was hard to leave Pestagua! Gracias a todos, vamos a regresar!

Lovely property in the heart of Cartagena walled city. Within walking distance of most attractions and restaurants/bars. Beautifully appointed comfortable rooms and caring staff. Products including sheets, towels, shower products are of superb quality. The property itself is a historic building beautifully restored.
Swimming pool is slightly small, they could have some activities like cocktails by the bar to encourage guests to mingle.

This was our second stay at the property, and it was a pleasure to return. The hotel was refurbished three years ago, and it was great to see the modern upgrades, including sound-proof windows and Japanese-style toilets, which significantly enhance the comfort of the rooms.
With only 16 rooms, the property offers a very personal and attentive experience. If possible, I highly recommend booking one of the suites with a balcony—it really delivers the full Cartagena experience. We personally prefer the smaller Pestagua property over its sister hotel, San Agustín, as it feels more intimate and personable.
The staff were outstanding throughout our stay. Yeily and Leonardo at the front desk were consistently helpful, Katherine, the Rooms Manager, was warm and welcoming, and Carlos, our waiter, was a true professional.
We look forward to returning in the future—Cartagena is always a fun and memorable destination.
One minor downside was that mosquitoes around the pool area could be a bit annoying at times. Additionally, room rates during the New Year holiday period can be quite expensive, though this is somewhat expected given the season and demand.

The staff was excellent. Everybody was helpful in organizing field trips, walking tours, dinner reservations, shopping sprees.
Always very nice, exquisite in satisfying your needs.

We had the most wonderful time at Casa Pestagua and the highlight really is the staff, but nothing is a miss here. Big shout outs to Katherine, Nurys, Carlos, Brando, German, Eduardo, Roberto and Luis Felipe - you all went over and above for us and it was noticeable
There wasnt anything we didn't like - you really do get what you pay for. One thing to note for breakfast would be asking specifics around the bread and fruit trays per table to help eliminate food waste

The hotel is truly exceptional from the look and feel of, to the location, staff, facilities and food. The little touches like Ortiga products in the bathroom and bedtime treats., not to mention wine o’clock.
