At check in they kept asking us to pay additional charges and at check out they added another service charge. They felt scammy!

The bed was comfortable, but that’s about it.
This is not a five-star hotel in reality. When emailed and messaged about airport pickup there was no response. When we checked in there was no help with our luggage. When we checked out we requested an airport drop off but it was late and they told us to call an uber instead if we needed to be on time. No help whatsoever with our luggage ever. Might as well have stayed at a 2-star.

From the moment you enter the hotel the staff welcomes you and works hard to meet your requests. The concierge provided the best recommendations when it came to dinning and shopping, as well as, tourist spots to visit. We contracted a driver and limo through the hotel for our five day stay, and it was the best decision we made. Rafael, our driver, showed us the city and took us to the Salt Cathedral, about an hour north of Bogota, a must see attraction. The breakfast buffet is impressive, with lots of hot and cold choices.
The room temperature at night got a little hot, but nothing unbearable.

Very good location close to the pedestrian area with restaurants and malls. Very quiet and good security. Beautiful building, spacious well equipped rooms. very good breakfast with endless options of good quality
during a temporary shutdown of the restaurant, another room was used to accomodate clients. This room was very small and not suitable as a restaurant. The food I ordered came cold and not of the usual quality of Sofitel. The restaurant has since resumed operations in its original premises and i am pretty sure service is back to usual, ie excellent.
