Wonderful
Very good and safe location. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The kitchen chef also did a great job creating tasty dishes. The mattresses were comfortable, so was the warm blanket provided.
The sheets could have been cleaner and there were no hooks on the walls to hang up wet towels.

Excellent location, beautiful and well looked after.
Comfortable bed.
Hot water available all day.
Breakfast was really yummy.
Live music on Sunday evening.
Hair dryer available upon request.
Most staff members were fab.
I would not hesitate to go back to this place and I wish we had known about their other locations sooner before booking accommodation elsewhere during our trip in Colombia.
There was a staff member who did not come across as very helpful. While trying to check in, one lady was helping everyone while this one was on her cell phone ignoring everyone. The same person seemed rather shocked when I asked for extra bread at breakfast (I offered to pay for it if needed) - as despite being super yummy, the breakfast portion is small. Everywhere else we had stayed at in Colombia offered fresh juice as well as a hot drink with breakfast but Masaya seems the exception to this.

Very Poor
It was good enough. I mean, it was better than nothing. Out of all the Masaya hotels I visited while in Colombia, the Masaya-Medellin definitely stands out.
The female receptionists at Masaya Bogotá seem to be mad and like they were forced to be there. One of them gave me a dirty look for absolutely no reason. Perhaps they just dislike women in general.
On the other hand, the two male receptionists I interacted with, especially the one doing the night shift (I believe his name is Jose, both were kind and showed care for the customer).
The restaurant left too much to desire, the hygienic was bad, starting with my meal put on a table full of dirty dishes from other dinners to two bottles of water served after the waiter/chef was manipulating food and didn't wash his hands before serving the water. Truly disgusting! I had to go wash the bottles because they had blood and oil on them.
The toilet ran out of toilet paper two nights in a row. They brought only one roll of toilet paper for 4 people.
It served the purpose, but I would not recommend it nor visit Masaya Bogotá again.

All good, had a nice sleep, nice mattress, bed linens not too warm or too cold, privacy/blackout curtain, the built-in closet with usb chargers inside every unit was very useful, clean and equipped bathroom, lots of patios available, ok wifi, the free coffee was good quality and highly appreciated, the staff was nice, close to everything in Candelaria.
Nothing bad, I wish I had stayed more.
FYI No water filter available and bottled water was $2, walking outside Candelaria can be sketchy, bringing earplugs is recommended,
local gyms available and affordable, workout park less than 2 blocks away with a nice view of the city, arriving or leaving the area using public transportation can be complicated.

Great location, central located and walkable to all the attractions yet quiet for resting. The shower and toilet facilities were clean with amazing hot water. Most importantly all the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay.

Fantastic location in La Cadelaria neighbourhood. Walking distance to anything in the historic center and right beside a great plaza with food/drink as well as La Concordia Mercado!
Front reception staff was hugely helpful in offering suggestions of places to eat and things to do.
We chose the option to have breakfast included and it exceeded our expectations- the options were what you would find on a restaurant menu!
Room smelled strongly of mold and was very dark.
We didn’t notice anyone in the common spaces and the hostel did not offer any activities to get people from the hostel together.

Pleasant
Bedrooms with comfortable king bed and provate bathroom was very comfortable.
The staff paid absolutely no attention to the noise caused by other guests, which went on after 11pm, even after indicating this to them. Felt disrespectful to us and other guests.

Try close to the graffiti walls and downtown. The breakfast was very good and you had a choice of four options. There is a security door before entering the sleeping accommodations which made you feel safe. Friendly and helpful staff
The room was clean and a little damp smelling. We often smelled fumes inside our room, maybe from car exhaust or the portable fan inside our room?
There was hot water the first day but not the three other days, unsure why?

Wonderful
We had a great stay! The location is fantastic, it was very easy to get around and find restaurants, cafes, and things to do but we couldn't hear anything in our rooms. Everything we wanted to see on this trip was in very easy walking distance. The rooms were spacious, the showers were great, and breakfast was delicious a

Excellent staff who work hard to make your stay comfortable. I stayed in 3 different rooms over 2 weeks. The locker size varied - the smallest would fit a carry on backpack while the largest would probably fit those super big backpacks. Beds were medium firm, with shelves, plugs, and a pull down shade. I ate several meals at the on site restaurant - very good and inexpensive (2 eggs, toast, fresh squeezed juice, bowl of mixed fruit, and coffee was 3.75 USD) Lots of spaces to hang out, free dance classes 2x a week. Not a party hostel, but friendly vibe. All age ranges. Place was very clean. Has a kitchen for cooking. They are eco-conscious. They accommodated a special request. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe in the neighborhood during the day, but didn't go out a night. WiFi was good to stream a show. Sometimes, the restaurant gave out free treats.
Sometimes the music they played was so loud, you couldn't have a conversation. Most of the time, it was fine.

Second time on place!
First time I changed my stay to a superior room — amazing experience!
Based on that, I upgraded again for my second visit. Unfortunately, the room I was assigned had just been remodeled and had a very strong chemical or paint-like smell. I’m quite sensitive to odors, and it actually gave me a headache. The room next door had the same issue, and when they reported it, they were moved to a different room.
In my case, I mentioned it too, and although I was told it would be checked with the manager, nothing really happened — and since it was my only night there, I had no choice but to sleep with the window open, leave the door open for a while, and try to cover my nose as much as I could.
It would have meant a lot to feel someone actually cared or tried to find a solution. I hope in the future more attention can be given to these kinds of situations, especially when comfort and well-being are at stake. ??

Amazing place! Good breakfast
For the superior room it would be nice to have a mirror on the bedroom not only on the bathroom ?
But that’s a nice to have, everything was amazing!

This is such a nice hostel with an ideal location, the private rooms have huge beds and the courtyards feel like a real escape from the city ☺️
I honestly loved this hostel so these are minor issues that I fed back to the staff. My room smelt so strong of bleach it made me nauseous, the bathroom floor was still wet when I arrived. Someone let themselves into my room just as I’d finished getting changed to drop off a loo roll (I didn’t actually need any).
The bedside lamp outlet was coming out of the wall and was flickering constantly. There was no WiFi connection to the tv.
