The location was pretty centric, all the staff were very kind and helpful, the included breakfast options were really delicious and healthy. Definitely would consider booking again!

The WHOLE staff exceeds our expectations every time we stay... Luis ( Dining manager / morning ) , Edwin ( Dining manager /evening) ,Cristian / valet parking , front desk English/ Español ready when needed. Housekeeping was superb. Step for step, dollar for dollar.....Hotel Estelar creates cherished memories by providing a first class , full service environment in a beautiful historical landmark. I ate many meals ( 10 days ) . Baby beef ( chimichurri mmm..mmmm.mmmm.) along with?spaghetti, accompanied with asparagus i enjoyed several times, Any soup/ sopa is super fresh, tasty and outstanding. The breakfast buffet has every base covered.... Cereals, eggs made special request. Those little buckwheat ? pancakes with a spoonful of mango and rasberry topping kept me coming back for more. Any natural juice provided( maracuya, gunabana , lulo, ? orange, papaya) is breath taking delicious . I requested hot water in a pot for aromatics ( talking tea / fresh herbs bought locally ) often... . On and on and on the good things never stopped. We departed and they made sure we had coffee to start the day on an early wake up. And a big sandwich and juice for the plane ride... Overall put simply... Awesome establishment with awesome employees ?
Honestly can't ? think of one negative aspect pertaining to Hotel Estelar.

They really have friendly, attentive and professional staff. We were a little early and the room wasn't ready so they immediately offered us tea and coffee while we were waiting. Not even 10min later, instead of the standard room we had booked, we got a big suite with a separate living room, kitchenette, walk-in wardrobe and two bathrooms. Not really needed for one night in Bogota between two flights - but much appreciated. Thanks to the Estelar team.
Not meant as a negative comment, but since there is space here to write and some other users have commented about it: yes, the furniture in our room and the interior design of the hotel might be a bit dated but everything is clean and in good order. So if you look for a modern design hotel this might not be the right choice for you. However, we would be happy to stay here again any day with the old design, the great staff and hence a very good value for your money.

the breakfast was top notch lots to choose from. They even called ahead to other hotel to confirm booking etc......and last but not least, we got a personal drive from the manager to our other hotel there in Chapinero (now that's service).

Disappointing
Close to some good restaurants. Staff is very friendly. Rooms are clean.
Building needs renovations, everything looks and feels rundown. Rooms without AC. Decor is old. Breakfast is just ok-ish. No views to anything other than the residential neighbours next door. Tiny, few elevators. Gym is a joke, they should be ashamed of even claiming to have a gym.

The room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable.
We stayed three nights in this hotel. Our experience didn’t start off very well as we had a mixup in our dates and tried to contact the hotel several times, various ways, before arriving but we got no response. Communication should be easier for a guest.
Overall, we don’t think this is worthy of 4 stars as we stayed in many hostels during our trip that were better.
