kid friendly. indoor pool is great. good service. right by the beach perfect for kids. kids club is also a bonus to have. spacious bathroom. southeast asian restaurant offers good food too.
could have more variety of food at the breakfast and dinner buffet. could have better air circulation in the hotel lobby and restaurants, since it's humid by the sea.

View from my suite is marvelous. I definitely will find another time to try the outdoors activities in near future. BTW, Food in the southern Asian restaurant on 2nd floor is quite good and special thanks to Vicky, my family had a wonderful New Year’s Eve dinner. She is very considerate and willingly to offer helps anytime.

Club Intercontinental was nice and private compared to the much busier main Intercontinental next door. The room was nice and the ease to enjoy the resort was great too.
The airconditioning in the rooms don't go below 24 degrees at the very best so room felt a bit warm for me. When requesting the airconditioning to be made colder we were told that was a perfectly comfortable temperature. So the rooms were very warm for sleeping.
Very small food offering. Breakfast buffet was small (I imagine it's much bigger at the main Intercontinental), lunch offering very limited and can't order dishes such as a simple club sandwich from the in room dining menu at the restaurant.
Club Lounge was easy with enough options but would be nice if they mixed it up a bit between each day- a lot was just the same as what was offered at the breakfast buffet.
The outdoor infinity pool is great looking but sadly not heated so as the weather gets cooler, it's not a pool you can just relax in for hours- a quick, cold dip and then back out.

Great beachfront hotel with a lot of kid activities. Huge, beautiful outdoor pool with 2 fun slides. The breakfast and dinner buffet is really good and cheap. Chinese restaurant is good but a bit expensive, souteast asian restaurant also looks good but we didn't try.
Some facilities are old and need refurbishment. Outdoor playground is basically non-existent (only 1 slide), indoor playroom in basement is bad and smelly. We only found the other playroom on 2/f on second day (lack info about this) but it's much better with good arts n crafts activities.

Nice room, location, beach and pool everything
The hotel took a deposit of 6000 yuan for 2 nights. The deposit was returned a month later, today. After a lot of talking, I finally got the money. Do these 5-star hotels do business with deposits? 2 years ago, the Grand Hyatt in Hainan did not return my deposit at all. I thought it would be worth paying attention to those who are visiting now. Everything else was perfect.

The facilities were great for a family holiday. We loved the kids suite, it was comfortable, clean and the children loved the toys. The large kids pool was great!
Limited kids menu at lunch time but restaurants a short walk away if needed.

Everything about the hotel is of good quality. Aesthetics as well. Staff are polite and proactive. Dinner and breakfast are delicious. Location is good and beach view is best. Outlets mall is also nearby.
The water at the indoor pool meant for swimming is not warm enough.

The room what we booked was spacious and uncluttered, the balcony has good view of da mei sha beach. Also, the facilities were all good and functioning.
Tv channels were narrow, most of channel are CCTV or Chinese domestic programs, this might be a drawback to this room.

The hotel is well maintained. Hotel room is spacious and everything is clean and in good conditions. The Chinese restaurant serves delicious Cantonese dishes at reasonable prices. Breakfast buffet is a must have: lots of options and yummy! Staff team is helpful and friendly, especially those at the concierge and swimming pool.
Closet space is small. The glass doors of shower and toilet stalls should be at least partially covered to allow for privacy.

The property was excellent for a family stay. With a 3 and 1yo we had plenty of things to do and really enjoyed our time. The kids pool was a great depth, the slides were great fun, the beach was lovely, there were plenty of food options for western families and the family suite was a good size for all of us to fit in for sleep and play. The free family shoot offered was also a lovely touch.
- Pool slides and other activities like the carousel and train are only open for select hours, it would be better if they had extended hours for the kids. Ie the pool slides are closed from 10am-4pm.
- Pool service is a little bit slow for food and drinks, this could be improved.
- There is no door or even curtain / partition between the king bedroom and the kids sleeping area / bunk beds - introducing a partition would be helpful to block off some sound / light.

The view and the design of the buildings are pretty good.
1. Staff are extremely unhelpful sometimes even hostile. They put unnecessary restraints on customers for no good reason, making the stay feel like living in prison.
2. The facilities promised by the hotel were not actually offered, such as memory foam pillows and indoors swimming pools.
3. The drinks by the pool are completely over priced. For each coconut it costs 48¥, whereas anywhere right outside of the hotel is 13¥.
4. The restaurants (Mankok) has very few options and level of food is below average.
5. The hotel promised to provide invoice (first within 1-2 hours, then within a day), but failed to deliver on time.
6. The bed linen made my skin very itchy.
7. Totally unorganized check-in experience, making up wait for over half an hour only to know that we had to go somewhere else to check-in. The staff member took note of the contact info promising that the managers will apologies and offer a commercial gesture. But during our stay, they did nothing.
