The property was located right near the Ferris wheel down by the water and the area is filled with restaurants, theatres, and shopping.
You need to make sure that you know which building you will stay in. I booked the Marriott thinking it was just one man hotel but there are actually several marriotts that are located around the area. It was a little confusing at first but the staff was friendly and accommodating once I realized I wouldn’t be at the main hotel building.

The hotel had 2 buildings, the main one and a building right next to the Happy harbour with the big panoramic wheel called Glory Tower. The area of the Glory tower is really nice but we preferred the main building where the beds are more comfortable compared with those in Glory Tower which are too hard in our view, and the breakfast much ampler. Also the executive lounge is far much better from all aspects, a great plus. The room was spacey enough and very clean, with everything necessary. Staff was very friendly. Location good for having close the harbour area, the expo centers and the airport. They allowed us late check-out as we showed we had a very late evening flight, which was extremely helpful and appreciated.
The internet was a disaster, basically all 5 days we couldn't use it. The lobby area which is huge and nice, doesnt have any couch or chair, so basically if you need to wait for a guest or friend or a taxi, you cannot rest on a chair, so really unwelcoming for a hotel. Unfortunately until end of feb 2026, there is a construction site right next to the hotel and they make huge noise from 7 ocl in the morning until 23 ocl in the evening. So in the morning is impossible to sleep anymore.
Breakfast has enough food choices, however sweets and gluten free products are missing and pastry overall all very limited. Also decaf coffee was impossible to get.
However if I have to go again before end of February, I still think I would choose this hotel.

One of the best hotel beds and linen I’ve ever had the pleasure of sleeping in. Also, exceptionally quiet and unobtrusive air conditioning in the room.
A slightly wider choice of Western food would have added extra appeal.

-The staff is performing floor cleaning when I am still eating in the restaurant, they cleaned up all the stuff on the table when I have placed the occupied tag on the table and walked away.
- that’s so noisy when the staff is cleaning for the room nearby at 9:00 am when I am still sleeping

Hotel itself is of very good quality
Good wifi (not always the case even in 5-star Chinese hotels)

we stayed for work and the meeting room was available the entire time we stayed.

all the facility apart from the gym were not located in this hotel wing
