This is a great place to stay if you are visiting Tiantaishan. The host is super helpful, there is an excellent breakfast and it is an easy walk to the temple.

location is great . Good value of money .
They gave me a room which is clearly not 30 square meters so I complained then got moved to a bigger room which they claimed the same size …. they knock at the window ( don’t ask me why window ) at 8:00pm, 10:30 pm for games in the sharing area and passport rescan respectively. Well it is nice and friendly but there are also introvert who doesn’t want to be bothered. Plus outside the window , a small dog was locked inside , he barks … I don’t recommend this room since even you feed the dog to keep him quiet , he stil barks .

The hostel is a lovely traditional courtyard building with carved wooden screens and windows and well tended gardens in the courtyards. My room was lovely, with it's spiral staircase and the cedar tub that perfumed the whole room. The furniture was old, but serviceable, with lots of pretty antique cabinets. The staff were helpful and the innkeeper spoke some English and helped me figure out how to get where I wanted to be. She's also a great cook. The 2 dinners she made me were well-priced and delicious. I was the only guest in the restaurant, and she played a movie for me. The location is great, close to the subway and right in the historic area. Don't expect modern luxury, but do expect charm in a delightful setting. I'll definitely be back.
It was very hot when I was there, and the air conditioners struggled to keep my room at a liveable temperature. There was no sign of the breakfast that was supposedly included, and the one I chose from the menu was pretty terrible and way overpriced.
