Well located in familiar center of Shanghai alleys. Mr Soo at the front desk was awesome and so was the cleaning lady who kindly took care of own drying. Breakfast was wonderful. Will consider booking again next time back to Shanghai.

Brilliant location; the house is full of character and delightful details. We stayed in the junior suite, which has heaps of room, beautiful light. And a great view up the laneway.
The hosts were friendly and kind. They recommended a great Shanghainese restaurant for dinner one night. We also ate in the Italian restaurant attached to the hotel one night - wonderful food; complimentary Prosecco and limoncello; great atmosphere. Loved this place; would definitely stay again!

Breakfast was good, plenty to eat and drink. Rooms were clean and tidy. The rooms were big and comfortable
Hotel was down a small road and at night it was quiet, after the restaurant closed about 10.00pm
The restaurant food was very good. Well located hotel.
For me the bed mattress was hard, and the door could be a struggle to lock.

Super helpful people at Kevins. We had a spacious suite of very clean rooms with very comfy large bed, we loved it. This is a quirky b & b above a popular italian restaurant (with italian chef) down an alleyway in a very old authentic building. Thus breakfast was insalata tricolori with parma ham and croissants....perfect!
It's very charming. Only stayed one night in transit to Japan but wish we could have been here longer. Great location in a nice area and great value for money. Thank you!

This felt like a home away from home! The staff were so friendly and welcoming. We had a washing machine as well, which was so handy. The Italian restaurant downstairs has the best food and we were provided a delicious breakfast there every morning. It gets a bit noisy from the restaurant, but we didn't mind at all. We loved our stay at Kevin's Old House!

We liked the location in the middle of the French Concession. The room was spacious and beautiful. Our welcome was warm and breakfasts were delicious (first morning Chinese, second morning European). There's a great looking Italian restaurant on the ground floor (La Bella Napoli) which regretfully we didn't try. Recommended!

Kevin's Old House was a lovely little hotel with genuine character. Unfortunately, it was too early in our trip to take advantage of the Italian restaurant that was attached to the hotel, but it looked great, and the breakfast was an unexpected, but delicious mix of Italian and Asian. The location is a quiet alley off a busy street. There was a little background noise, but peaceful considering it's busy Shanghai location. The staff could not have been more helpful

Exceptionally spaceous! Big bedroom w/ big living room and washroom. Very friendly staff. Excellent western breakfast with cheese smoke salmon eggs and bread. Cappuccino is the best among all the brewery in Shanghai. Must try the restaurant on the G floor ( Bella Naples)belongs to the same owner
Curtain could be thicker and darker. ( common inconvenience in most lodging)
Wifi could be enhanced. ( insufficient after 8:00pm to midnight)
TV set is not responding. ( do not affect us too much)

Kevin's Old House is located in the former French concession in Shanghai in a little street not accessible by cars so it is a quiet neighborhood. As in the name, it is an old house, it breathes history with its wooden staircase and large rooms with polished wooden floors, but make no mistake, the rooms are fully equipped with modern, A brand, equipment. The service is excellent. We arrived at 1AM due to late night flight into Shanghai but the owner came to meet us in the street where the taxi stopped and helped with the luggage. With a smile :). Check in process was smooth. An extra bed was arranged for our daughter as we had asked. The room was actually a 3 room suite with a large bathroom, a large living room and a large bedroom. Room was clean, wooden polished floor, a lot of wooden polished furniture which gave the room an authentic look. Good quality mattress. A copious breakfast was served at the Italian restaurant on the ground floor. I got a western style, my wife a Chinese style breakfast, without even having to ask. Not that we would have minded if it were different but it shows the level of service and attentiveness. The coffee was good :). We didn't have time to try the Italian restaurant but a look at the menu shows very reasonable prices so we will definitely try that next time we are there.

We loved the old Shanghai vibe in the hotel, brings back memory of my childhood.
The room was spacious yet functional, lots of storage, shower was comfortable.
Quality amenities were used.
The manager, house keeping staff were very friendly and made our stay very comfortable.
