The view from the bedroom was excellent. The room was very nice, modern and clean. The overall hotel design is superb. International breakfast is ok.
No services, so I paid the full rate of a 5 star hotel but most services were missing. Only one opened restaurant, which menu was 80% not available. All the other restaurants and bars of the hotel were closed, room service not available, impossible to have a beer in the hotel... Totally disappointed. People had to go to supermarkets to get any food/drink. I understand covid was just over, what I would expect is a fare reduction and to be informed prior to my staying if so many services are unaivalaibles.

Location is great.
The location is getting ready to shut down for refurbishment - which I didn't realise until I got there. No bar no restaurants no gym no pool. Breakfast was a large offering but not fresh and great for western tbh.

location is nice, very central if you want to visit the bund
they told me all restaurants were closed except chinese one. afterwards it seemed you needed a reservation for the others. vues bar was closed. no info about that was available at reservation

super location
1: room is outdated, bed and pillows not at the comfort level of a 5* hotel. The HVAC of the room dries up the entire room air so much that when waking up, you feel totally dehydrated. Nose, lips and throat completely dried. 2: due to Covid, many services have been suspended which is understandable but no prior notice was sent. I booked this hotel also because of the VUE restaurant and VUE bar but they were closed and it totally messed up our New Years Eve plan.

Location
Breakfast was totally not worthy. Because COVID they did not have their regular service but charged as it was, which was not ok. It was a very average, being generous, you can have better breakfast for half the price in ANYWHERE in Shanghai. Was disappointing, not a 5 star hotel breakfast, very far from being even a 3-star hotel one.

Im staying in this hotel quite often, everything is good as usual, the only one thing at breakfast today me and my colleague got food poisoning, which is really serious poisoning for us. after breakfast we went back to our room until check out and start feel so bad , start vomit and got stomach ache, and way to airport and all time and flight was horrible actually, so please check ur food quality better
