Great service from hotel staff, very polite and helpful
Hotel room is too hot, karaoke from building next door is very loud and late into the night - nothing Donghu can change but just a tip for anyone travelling with families

The Donghu Guest house is in a good location; surrounded by restaurants and bars. There is an amazing hot pot restaurant opposite the guest house called Peony Hotpot. There is also a metro close by.
The hotel is old and dirty. The bedroom and bathroom are in need of refurbishment. Two of us were staying in the one room and they only provided one of everything eg. one towel and one bottle of water. It was noisy until around 2am. I would not stay again and I wouldnt recommend to a friend.

Breakfast is served in the Donghu Hotel across the road, lots of choice. The Donghu Guest House is a little worn and tired, but this is reflected by the price compared will other properties in the area. The room was spacious and comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, close to Lines 10 and 12 with plenty of nightlife close by.
As mentioned the hotel would benefit from a refurbishment, but for the price it is OK.

to order or pre-order a taxi via the front desk can be tricky: because "everyone" (= Chinese guests I assume) orders a taxi via an app, they were reluctant to do it. A pre-ordered taxi on my departure day didn't come or maybe wasn't ordered after all.

The room was clean enough, and the location is great.
The street noise when the nearby bars close was crazy loud. Though the hotel does provide ear plugs, assumably just for this reason. Also the windows were so dirty it was hard to see out.

I like the location of the hotel, because I can get easy access, from the hotel, to almost everything including the subway, and restaurants.
