Disappointing
The rooms were nicely decorated and the hotel is very well located.
There was extremely loud construction that shook the floor and walls within the building that was not disclosed at check-in, the handle to the window broke off, the power went out, gym was under reno, and for all of that we only received a 20% discount.

Great location, spacious room and well facilitated in the room.
Too dim and music was too loud on the 1/f where the main entrance is. Light is too dim too in the restaurant.

Convenient location. Pleasant surroundings. Nice breakfast.
The room temperature was too hot and stuffy. Some staff were a bit snooty, making us feel uncomfortable. When checking in they said the room might not be ready by 2pm. It was in fact, but not a good start. My previous stay was much better.

Fabulous location with great proximity to various shopping malls, restaurants and public transportation. Facilities are new and clean. The in-unit kitchen really impressed me, although I did not have the chance to use it during my stay. Will definitely stay here again for my next visit to Shanghai!

The facilities are very outdated, the walls are thin, the lighting with all the switches is very confusing and annoying, the breakfast was very basic

The location of the hotel is good as it near the subway station.
The room facility is old. The aircon was noisy. If the aircon did not turn on, the room was stuffy. The window could not be open as it faced the dirty ceiling (!) of the third floor due to the awful shape of the hotel building. We were advised not to open the window by the cleaner as mosquitoes would come into the room. (It is in Mid of November!) The breakfast was simple and repeated. I could not image how the hotel was rated 5 star. The standard of the hotel is actually as low as 3 star.

Gym could really use an upgrade; you can't even pay for a day pass to use the fancier external vendor option located on the same floor as reception
My first room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke and it did not go away so I had to ask for a room change. The staff was quite gracious in granting the change.
