Nic- the head of concierge was superb, I considered him as the best ambassador in Hangzhou, he deserves a big promotion as he treated us as one of his family members;
the room view gave us a piece of mind;
At last, we could eat some sort of a food that matches our taste.
Way too far from the airport, the hotel must have a shuttle to pick up his customers and save them the agony

The spacious rooms, river view, excellent western and Chinese choices in Breakfast Buffet, and good value.
Surprising that hotel did not enforce the rule that hotel guests do not wear hotel slippers to breakfast. A few guests even wore their pyjamas!

Fresh new hotel, clean and comfortable. The stunning view to the Qiantang river.
2 points dissapointed me:
The safebox in the room was locked when i arrived. A manager tried to open it with an electronic key but failed, said that they woulkd replace the safebox with another one shortly and dissapeared. That was 5.30 pm. Nobody took care about this problem until my checking out the next day noon.
The iron I asked to bring for prepairng my clothes was a little bit overused (a cover of water compartment was absent), and the water was dropping all the time out durng my ironing exercise. I believe that the new hotel could have more well-kept inhouse equipment for guests.

I like the interior of the hotel. It was pretty empty during the time I was there.
The staff were super nice and spoke English well
Very poor sound isolation. I could hear staff knocking on the doors of my neighbors as if it was my door!
The service is a bit slow.
The light control panel is weird in response. I needed to press the switch several times.
Saunas didn’t work. The pool was too cold, the jacuzzi was warm
Oh, and there are no convenience shop in walkable distance from the hotel. I find that pretty strange.

The staff was friendly, approachable, and provided attentive service. Even the chamber maid was extremely helpful. The room was spacious, and I especially liked the hair dryer they provided.
The room has a very strong cigarette smell . Staff offered to change our room but my mother was on wheelchair and it’s inconvenient to move her and we declined it . it was a nice gesture.

There are no food and restuarants outside around the hotel, you have to walk about 1km or take a cab to find some food

Disappointing
The location is okay, quiet neighborhood. But there isn’t any coffee shops, eateries around, needs to travel a bit to get decent food.
Where do I start...? Okay first thing first, I can’t stand showers with moulds, and the carpet has some spots and stains which is pretty gross.
Also you can tell the room is not properly furnished as everything squeaks when you try to move them, say the lamp or the reading lights.
Also the bathroom smells funny, they don’t do a good job on the ventilation. Not sure it’s just my room or the whole building. Anyway I stayed in 1311, please ask for another room if they give you this one.
