Amazing location, abundance of atmosphere, English assistance, very fair and even modest pricing.
Mattresses were tough. Some like this, to my individual taste this was difficult.

Location, location location... the best ever. About 100m away from Hefang Street, where all the action is. Yet quiet and peaceful. So much to see within walking distance. I initially booked a dorm room to meet other travellers, but was offered a double room on the ground floor, with own bathroom. Excellent choice. It was spacious, clean and quiet. As an older foreign tourist travelling alone, it was a delight. The manager Bai was really helpful and spoke excellent English.
I struggled to find the Guest house on my Amap, as the Booking.com address translated into travel directions to another private address about 8km away. The staff at the train station information desk also sent me to the wrong address. Get to the Drum tower by taxi, and walk 500m from there. Or Take the 1 subway and get off at Ding"an Road metro station and walk 800m.

Staff or owner very helpful and speak good English. Recommended the restaurant and bar opposite hotel for discount if we stayed here, very good deal.The cat also cute and gentle(Thai cat)
Hot water for shower was too hot, can't control or adjust temperature.

I liked the location as it is in the middle of the old town, and the staff were so helpful. The cat in the reception was so cute too!

It was a challenge to find the place. Booking.com's map service does not work in China. There's no vehicle access to the door so a taxi to the location only gets you close but you still have to walk to find the place.

We loved this place!! The guesthouse is an old building nicely renovated. We loved the vibes. The location is fantastic, right in the old historic part of Hangzhou, plenty of shops, coffee shops, restaurants close by (Hangzhou is such a cool city!)
The staff was super nice and spoke good English. They gave us lots of recommendations.

The hotel is walking distance to Hefang Street and also near many restaurants. The man at the reception spoke good English. This hotel doesn't provide bottled water but they have a kettle in the room and also in the common area by reception.

Super helpful staff, who spoke great English and were very happy to help with absolutely anything. Excellent location in a pedestrianised and beautiful part of the city.
Like most places in China, the matresses are a little hard for westerners.
