Everything is very good at oakwood! Service tip top!
Especially i would like to commend great service from lobby side,staffs like Dick,Don,Edwin and Steven they are really very good and tip top service.. For front desk i like to commend staffs like Effie, Miki, Danielle and Gordon are really at their tip top services. Roomservices who has service 21st floor staffs are super good and responsible during my stay. Lastly not forgetting the Director of sales, Kenny, who is a super nice ,friendly person who also care about the services that provided from hotel is it up to our expectations with his constant check. I will definitely come back again to stay. Hopefully the pricing will be still reasonable in the near future. We would like to extend our thanks to the housekeeping aunty who managed to find back our boy's beloved owl. Location is great, many food and malls within walking distance. Didi is affordable even to Parc Central which is just a stone throw away. Breakfast is good and nice quiet ambience when no big groups. Good location for family with kids.

My second stay at the property, and once again it was an absolute pleasure staying at Oakwood GZ. The staff are exceptional, the facilities are excellent, the rooms are comfortable and well-maintained, and the location is perfect. It always feels great walking into this place. Highly recommended!

The hotel is 15 minute walk on uneven foot path from metro station. And only one stop by metro from Guangzhou East Train station which run high speed train to Hong Kong. It is one of the taller building in the area with the "Oakwood" logo on it. Therefore you will never get loss while walking around different shopping malls nearby.
The free parking doesn't work and the staff are not very helpful in this. My driver got charged every time, despite repeated complaints at the reception. It is not far from the Guangzhou Dong train station but outside walkable distance. If you try to catch a cab, it will be embarrassing.

The location is good, near to shopping malls and eateries, very convenient.
The room is clean.
There was a commotion in the next room, I could hear them squabbling at night.
I informed the staff and they quickly attended to our request.
The swimming pool is not ready yet. This was not made known to me during the booking.
The breakfast selection could be improved.
The microwave in my room was a little faulty, the display panel not working properly.

Location was good a lot of eatery within mins of walking. Room was big enough with sofa, kitchen space was good too.
Those concierge guys at level 1 was very helpful and friendly thanks with the luggages.
Female staff at the front desk was unfriendly when ask why my room key not working after few nights she replied very unwillingly and unwelcoming. It's not my issue why the room keys are not working. Especially both keys not working that is the only unpleasant event.

Personally I found the serviced apartment great. It included a kitchen which I didn't use but also a table with chairs, a great shower and an amazing view over the city. The staff is very helpful and places attention on details.
For example: after a few days the cleaning lady noticed that always used both water bottles that the provide for free. So now she was putting 4 free water bottles on a daily basis.
Also, I always removed 1 of the pillows from the bed and after a few days she didn't put it on my bed anymore when making the bed. I like the attention to such details, it makes you feel cared about.

We got a great deal to stay here and we had the most amazing time. Service was exceptional from check in to check out . Front Office staff very helpful and friendly. Restaurant staff always smiling and nothing was a problem. Breakfast for us was outstanding , good variety of freshly cooked dishes on buffet each day , we especially enjoyed the Cantonese dishes and choice of teas. Great views from our room , especially at night time. Had an apartment , everything we needed,, the bed was so big and comfortable, found it hard to get up in morning. Location of hotel in easy reach of many food outlets and shopping malls and easy walk to beautiful gardens. Were very sad to leave, home away from home.
