This property was a bit far from the metro, and was overall okay. The service was fine and the breakfast was decent, but that was about it. Nothing to write hole about, really. The rooms were bigger than expected, so that was good!
This day and age when your work and life is virtually tied to the Net, staying at a place with poor internet connection is a huge issue! And being that this was the Aloft, it made it even more overwhelmingly disappointing! Why??? Why is your internet so messed up?! So won’t be staying here again...nope, can’t be bothered. Not when there are plenty of other places I can stay with good internet connections. Please fix this! It’s awful...

Excellent location, close to the metro, downtown, main shopping centers. There is a convenience store down the hotel, and coffee bars (international brands) within walking distance.
Clean and well furnished room with enough space.
Comfortable mattress and large bed (king size room)
The breakfast room offers a fantastic view on the CBD
Noisy air conditioning in the bedroom.
My local debit card (ICBC) was not accepted as a payment method at the reception desk, which is the first time since I am traveling in China. At the breakfast entrance, we were asked to sign a bill for the breakfast which was included in the room.
Hopefully both issues were fixed quickly with no consequences on the stay. I still recommend the hotel as a good alternative for a stay in Guangzhou.
