Excellent service. The staff was very helpful with returning key from my previous hotel that was 4.5 hr.away. The property is beautiful and couldn’t be in a better location. Breakfast offering is fantastic. And also we were upgraded to a bigger room with much nicer view.
I don’t particularly like the lighting arrangement in the room. It’s a bit tricky to figure out where the switches are, and for which spots. The toilet stall is very dark and it’s quite impossible to go at night without waking the other person. Also it would be much more practical if the toilet is a Japanese type, or at least a install a sink in the stall.

The location was fabulous and the hotel very modern and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean with a free minibar except for the wines. Strawberries were a nice touch. While we enjoyed the stay overall, we didnt feel it provided the full value for the price we paid.
The bathroom layout was a bit odd and not easy to use. The view from the room was overlooking a really bad area of the city. The wifi was very slow and this was annoying.

The hotel’s bathroom design is hazardous when taking a bath. The walls are very dark and narrow, and there are too many sharp edges. In addition, the floor tiles are not properly fixed and feel a bit shaky. My spouse had a bad experience during our stay — she fell inside the bathroom while taking a bath.

The location is fab. So convenient and a foodie’s dream. Staff super polite and efficient. Helpful. Friendly. We stored our baggage with them when we made a short trip to Chongqing.

We had a fantastic stay at Temple House. The property is atmospheric and very conveniently located in a vibrant part of Chengdu. The concierge team make the experience very personal, helping to book tickets for attractions and even getting us meal tickets for restaurants so that we didn't need to wait in line. The service and attention to detail set Temple House apart from other high end hotels we stayed at in China. The pool is beautiful and yoga on a Saturday morning in the grounds was an unexpected highlight. We were lucky to get an upgrade to one of the Residences which had a great view and was super spacious. Special shout out to Troy, Dennis, Bolun and Max for looking after us for three nights whilst we celebrated our anniversary. We didn't want to leave! We also had an incredible vegetarian dinner at the Mi Xun Teahouse which made a pleasant change from all the meat we consumed on the trip.

The design elements : both the architecture as well as the interior appealed to me ; and I am an interior designer ?
I tried the spa ; the vegetarian food joint that was Michelin ⭐️; the Conceirge desk for multiple restaurant reservation … they all were good. So really nothing to dislike. Only point may be was the hotel’s tight booking schedules resulted in inability to accommodate late check out. It was extended only one hour to 1 pm.
