Wonderful
Very friendly staff. Cleaning ladies super friendly and helpful, and did a wonderful cleaning job. Swimming pool was big. Sonna was also great.
There was a smell of smoking in the room. Staff was helpful to offer an air filter machine, which worked well.

The view on the Jing, the beds were super comfortable, Swimminpool and gym are very good , the helper of our floor was fantastic. Location is pretty good too , close to the ambassy area, many restaurant within 5 min walk and can get in Sanlitun in few min by car
To slow check in , they didn't accept my Visa credit card , it already happened to me when I travel in tge deeply China, but not in Beijing and you are the Westin hotel , suppose u have other pos machines

Wonderful
Lobby/reception: very spacious and modern. Reception staff is responsive and friendly. Cleaning staff are constantly polishing the floors (it rained a lot when we were here). Room: our 100-square-meter Executive Renewal Suite was perfect for a month-long family stay; a child or two children can sleep on the sofa (not a pull-out sofa but enough space). We had a view of the CBD with the city's landmark skyscrapers. Cleaning staff was hard-working and efficient. Facilities: big beautiful pool bathed in blue light. Spacious gym, with weight equipment and cardio machines in opposite rooms. The hair salon gave a good haircut; we didn't use the spa but its candle-lit atmosphere looked very inviting. Executive Club Lounge on the 34th floor offers lots of sleek, comfortable seating, with surreally high views of this modern metropolis; it also serves a quieter breakfast and afternoon snacks. Breakfast: many, many options for Asian and Western palates (e.g., egg station, noodle station, congee station, sausages, yogurts, cereals, well-made European-style pastries, even gluten-free bread). Huge breakfast room. Staff is fast with cleaning up tables. Location: the very useful #10 subway line (Lianmaqiao station) is a one-minute walk from the entrance; many bus lines are also very close-by. Best is the LiangMa River steps away, a lovely relaxing stroll for seeing slices of local life. For nearby restaurants/eateries I recommend trying the mall basement of the PingAn building which has lots of quick but tasty-enough options (noodles, dumplings (), Japanese-style curries), or the Grand Summit mall across the road (e.g., yummy handmade biang-biang noodles in a non-fancy setting (Joy Kitchen) and an authentic Mexican place (Moji) in the basement; a tasty gelato place (Nama Cocoa) upstairs).
Room/hallways: although smoking is not allowed in the hotel, one can unfortunately detect a smell of cigarette smoke in the corridors of the carpeted room-level floors, and in some rooms. We had to change from a room with a heavier smell of smoke to a room with a fainter smell of smoke. We could also still always smell smoke while waiting for the elevator, even though we noticed a timed spray of something deodorant or disinfectant above the elevators. Smoking guests are more to blame than the hotel itself, perhaps, but it was one unpleasant aspect of our stay. Breakfast: the vast assortment overall was delightful, but the Chinese offerings (like youtiao, jianbing) could have been more delicious (we know what authentic Chinese foods taste like). Nonetheless we never left hungry :-) Thank you to the Westin staff. Your hard work counts, and we send you a smile from our hearts.

I found the check-in difficult with staff who doesn't speak English. Speaking in a translation app to translate isn't standard for a 5star hotel.

bad smell in the first room, horrible carpet, bad bed sheets (uncomfortable settled), wardrobe doors wont close, worst coffee ever in the lobby bar, I asked for sugar they brought me 2 years old sugar with expiry date within one month, long lines for check out and check in. In general the rooms need renovations

Excellent breakfast and superb fitness center with steam and dry sauna, hot and cold small pools, big swimming pool with beautiful view. Beautiful vip lounge on top floor with afternoon tea and very good facilities. Staff very kind and helpful.
The standard room is rather basic and not good value for money, we decided to upgrade to the suite. The restaurants are ridiculously overpriced. It would be good to add some seating space in the lobby for guests (you can only sit at the bar, which means you have to order something and pay for it).
