Disappointing
Nice traditional antique building but not like the photos.
Long waiting to open the door, needed to ask the neighbors for help and when got in they doubted my reservation, not prepared at all.

It’s really more a hotel or Bed and Breakfast than a hostel because you do get your own private modern bathroom plus hearty Asian breakfast style comes with the stay! Love the heated floors, comfortable firm bed, rain shower faucet, nice hot showers appreciated during my cold winter stay. Close walking distance to the S2 train, bus 919 and the express train is about 15 min walk away from the hotel located in the small historic district. Driver service for small fee is also available.
Hard to find in the beginning. Better directions would be helpful.

Nice staff, good breakfast. Room was very clean. Location is good - close to chinese wall.
Privacy could be improved - as room is right next to the restaurant, I could hear everything that went on outside (and vice versa). Better sound isolation would be nice.

Lovely hotel a short walk (20min) from the Badaling Great Wall. The staff were very helpful and got us tickets to visit the wall at night. The rooms, the entrance and the main hall were all beautifully decorated. Would recommend.
Their English is not good but they always use a translator.

The service is unbeatable, very kind and helpful. They always try their best to make our stay confortable. The experienece was unforgettable and we recommend this place to sleep if you want to visit the great wall 100%. We will repeat for sure.

The hostel exceeded my expectations, it was like a 3 star hotel. Very clean, specious room. The location was great, 10min walk to the Great Chinese wall entrance. The host was really polite and always responded to our questions promptly. She did try her very best to assist with everything she could even with her limited knowledge of English.

I like to room, the heater is on the floor so we can stay warm. The property is very near to Great wall. With the good planning we can stay more days and enjoying the Great wall
We did not plan it well so we spent too much time and money on the travelling in and out between Ba Da ling and Beijing. We should have stayed few days to enjoy the scenery.

Cosy room adjacent to a semi-heated courtyard. The heated floors in the room were AMAZING! Outside -10, inside toasty +20. And I mean, the floor was actually almost hot.
Personally, I guess I'm not a fan of the traditional Chinese breakfast, but it was nice experience to try it, anyway.

Even though the 2 ladies did not speak english, they were wery helpful. You wont get service like that in a hotel.
Could not pay AMEX even though it was booked like that on booking.com, fortunately had different card to pay, but minor inconvenience

The couple there were absolutely lovely and welcoming. They were happy to show us directions and regardless of the language barrier they did the most to help :)
