It was so unexpected! Everything was wowz the room exceptionally clean, huge, balcony was so beautiful! They are so welcoming! Recommend ! Definitely will recommend and if i have to come back will choose again Sofu.

Location is best to reach the interesting places and local small restaurants.
Breakfast: 2 options of western neals n chinese meals. Very simple not buffet style. But not bad. Staff served meals each client. Cleaing : they do not clean room whole and change sheets but also only arrange blankets and sheets While we were staying for 5 nights.

We stayed at this hotel from 10 th until 14 th January. I'll give the hotel a solid three star. The breakfast was very poor and frankly not tasty. But right next to the hotel there was a Starbucks where you could always get a great coffee. The location of the hotel is very good, 2-3 minutes from the metro. The rooms were cleaned and it was very very warm in the room! Our Windows from the room did not look out on the street, but in some strange place where people went. I want to thank a lot the staff of the hotel, and in particular a guy named Hollow and a girl named Xufeng. They were incredibly kind and polite! They helped us in everything we asked for. They made our stay at the hotel very comfortable. Thank you guys!!!

Excellent location - in a small street only a couple of minutes from subway station with lots of food choices, small shops etc. Walking distance from parks and lakes - about 15 minutes. Deluxe rooms at the front are very nice and large - worth paying the extra amount if you're staying a few days. Comfortable beds.
Rooms at the back of the hotel have no opening windows and were stiflingly hot in January. No way to cool the room down or set the A/C to fan only setting to circulate air. Rooms on the side and front have windows so are much better. Some of the reception staff speak no English. Despite no smoking signs people were smoking in rooms and the smell permeated everywhere.

The room was very comfortable and large and the bathroom was clean. The windows are big and have a nice view of the neighborhood. Water provided was nice and the items in the mini fridge are cheap! The staff was overall nice and helpful though their English is not great so communication can be a bit difficult. The Hutong neighbourhoods around the hotel are fantastic and allow you to get a real feel of Beijing culture.
The hotel charged a 500yuan deposit on top of the price of the room... which was not mentioned when booking and it is not very clear what the deposit is for. Upon checking out we were told the deposit would not be returned for one month which seems a bit ridiculous and I have doubts that we will ever receive that money back. The toilet in our first room clogged on the first day for seemingly no reason... I suspect the plumbing in Beijing can be not so good at times... but the hotel was very nice and put us in a different room right away.

Free bicycles from hotel to shichahai is very good to take trip aroud the lake. And see people exercise or other activities.

Perfect location with less than 5 minute walk to subway (2 lines) and in a vibrant street with good choice of restaurants and shops. Room was very comfortable and clean. Staff were professional and friendly. Good choice of breakfast options to suit all tastes.

Wonderful
Very good location close to subway and plenty to see and do in the immediate area. Plenty of small shops for buying provisions in the immediate locality and plenty of good restaurants. The room is compact but has everything you need- there is even a supply of washing powder for the washer/drier. The ac works well and, despite being in a busy area, the room was quiet. Helpful receptionist.
Although the room is compact, its size is clearly stated in the booking details.
