Very friendly and helpful staff (very good with google translate, helped me book a Great Wall tour through the hostel), great location in the hutong with great food options around

Nice location close to many touristic places (the street has many cafes, restsurants and souvenir shops) and metro station. The rooms were comfortable, enough space for everyone. Each person gets a locker (with key), curtain on bed and personal light. Even though the people at the reception don't speak English very well, they use translators to understand you and are always ready to help.
Looking back, I think that this hostel was a bit overpriced but the reason for this might really be the top location.

The location is very central, right in the popular street food Hutong
It was way too dirty the toilet was dirty and the bathroom was full of dirt and hair and the sink was blocked so only a few mins i had to stop showering the price was very high for a hostel so I really expected a lot better and cleaner than this not recommended.

The hostel has an amazing location in a very protected and gated Hutong area ! The staff is very friendly and an amazing surprise was the rooftop cafe, on which you can sit and enjoy a coffee while having quite a nice view.
It could be a little bit cleaner. You can see that the hostel is already existing for quite a while. But its total fine for a hostel!

fabulous location within the old city alleyways which are bustling and fun but feel friendly and clean too. Jerry was on the reception desk and simply could not have been more helpful. Used her app to help us access the city bikes. Hugely patient with us despite us being absolutely maddening guests arriving late and leaving late. Couldn't recommend more highly

I like the location.very well situated in the center and you have many restaurants and shops close by. Also the metro station is a plus.
The staff doesnt speak English which sometimes can be frustrating especially when they need to give you detailed information but the translator mess up. After all the staff is very nice and friendly,they helped me to organize the tour to the Great Wall .

This hostel is in one of the best location. The beds are comfortable and air conditioning was really working fine, considering the warm weather of summer in Beijing. The showers had good water flow and the water was hot.
The room was not clean, there were balls of dust under the bunk beds. The bathroom smells badly all the time. The shower boxes didn't seem to be very clean too. The rooms looked a little old, not so well taken care of. Although staff are really helpful, they couldn't speak English, considering that this is an International Hostel, it doesn't seem right. For the price paid, you would expect more.

Wonderful
The location is absolutely amazing! The street is so nice, lots of food and shops, metro station is super close and walking zone around is gorgeous. Hostel is quite comfortable and clean with cute cafe. I stayed in female room and it consisted of only two beds, felt private. Staff is helpful and caring
not as a minus but keep in mind that there will be no shower cosmetics and be ready to pay for towel rental

Good location and air con were OK. Beijing is lovely and friendly but I would not stay here if I returned. The cafe attached seemed nice but was not open until 11 which is pretty useless for any kind of breakfast!
Everything else was pretty disappointing. Does not feel like a hostel, staff could barely communicate (used translation app). WiFi was poor and not in rooms. It did not feel clean, there was a huge amount of dust everywhere. The beds were exceptionally hard. There wasn't accessible free water beyond the 2 small bottles given daily. Expectation that you use the same towels for the whole stay- claimed this was for sustainability but were happy to give us plastic toothbrushes, disposable slippers all wrapped in lots of plastic. No soap provided beyond a small body gel. It did not feel good value for money particularly compared with the other place we stayed in Beijing on the same trip.

The location was very good. Sound proofing was good. The reception staff were friendly and very helpful, especially
WIFI weak, hardly any in the bedroom. Bathroom could be brighter and cleaner. The shower cubicle is not clean. Please give the tiles in the shower cubicle a good scrub. The metal shelf for the towels are way too high! One of the hooks on the wall is missing, and one is loosely attached.
