The hotel was cozy and quaint. It had everything we needed with a welcoming environment. Mark was extremely helpful throughout our time, recommending restaurants and sites. He also helped us with any logistical questions. The property was very close to a subway station, within 10 minutes walking.

- Traditional accommodation in a hutong
- Location in downtown Beijing. Restaurants, shops, a big mall within walking distance. The most important sights of Beijing easily reachable by underground/taxi
- Mark is a good host and speaks good English

Great staff, super helpful and understanding.
Sadly, we checked out after only one night. Even though the staff was very friendly, the beds were super hard and the walls had no sound isolation to other rooms or the common area. Felt more like a hostel than hotel, and in that sense it was a bit expensive compared to what you got. The breakfast was just toast with jam.

Hes the kind of person that you need when you are in Beijing. The hotel has a nice inner court as a shared space.
The position is good: The subway is 500 m far.
Our room was very minimal and the forniture was too big for that space.
As an europeans, we found the bathroom was very essencial and the towels very chip.
We didnt like Breakfast.

The rooms feel a bit old and run down, but then again this is in a traditional Beijing Hutong so thats to be expected. Location is a bit far from main points, but still accessible through metro.

That was a great place staying at Kelly's Hotel which is very close to Hutong and gare station.
Starting by the airport pick-up to a drop off, Mark elaborated and clearly explain how to feel comfortable in Beijing (Transport, recommendation). He was able to answer all our questions regarding our staying in Beijing.
I would recommend this place in order to be close to the city!

Kellys is a charming traditional courtyard hotel in a superb location a short walk from two metro stations, on a traditional Hutong or lane. The room was comfortable and had everything youd expect. Breakfast, while basic, did the job! Mark, who runs the place, is a very nice and helpful chap - recommending places to eat and how to book attractions etc. Highly recommend for something different - like one of the previous reviews mentioned, it almost feels like a home stay!

The atmosphere was great. Mark speaks good English and is very helpful. Common room with computers and Go board was very useful. The hotel was non-smoking for real, that is very hard to find in China.
All rooms face the common yard. It will only be quiet if all guests keep quiet. It was great during our stay, but I guess, the experience can be different depending on the neighbours.

When booking was told it was hard to find but on arrival the manager Mark was waiting to meet us. The hotel was beautiful and clean and nothing was too much trouble for Mark. He was very helpful and lovely.

Mark is such a fantastic host! So kind and service-minded. If you have any questions before or during your stay he is always there to help you. The Kelly's Courtyard is a real gem.
Perfect location.The only challenge with the place is to find it, it's located on one of the really narrow streets.

Staff is very nice and helpfilul. Good location, 5 min walk to metro station.
Toilet combined with shower- if you took shower, the floor is wet everywhere. Also, the air in the room is wet.
