Proximity to the center
The rooms are quite old. There was no ventilation in the bathroom.. there was mold growing on the tiles as well as the walls. The room smells and felt very muggy and mildewy. Definitely not a four-star hotel more like a two star motel.

Good location if you have a car. We were planning to walk to the beach (0.5miles) and restaurants, but the hotel is a little bit 'isolated', surrounded by unpaved roads (as of Oct 2024)
Inconvenient to walk around the hotel.

The outside looks good.
The inside of the apartments was dirty (my kids had dirty feet and socks after a few minutes in the apartment). The grout of the tiles is disgusting. The furniture is dated. The internet is really bad. Not reliable and unusual even.

the facilities are well maintained.
the location is really not so good. it says in the ad that its a few meters from the beach which is technically correct. but the roads next to the hotel are not asphalt and its very dark. to walk there at night is dangerous.

The staff at La Serena Dream were wonderful! They were so kind and helpful and they made us feel like family. The property was beautiful and the pool was gorgeous but the weather was not really warm enough to swim. But we did sit beside the pool in the sun, which was lovely. You can walk to the beach easily from here, but you have to walk down a long gravel road.
The wifi didn't work very well which was a problem because I had to do Zoom calls for work. But I ended up hotspotting to the data on my phone. The unit has very few electricity outlets (only one in each room) so it's a good idea to bring an extension cord.

I liked everything about the property , the apartment and the free parking
The only minus was the walk in the dark between the avenue and hotel since it was located a bit off with none iluminated street but if you have a car no problem.

Location wasn’t too bad
The room they put us in stank of damp. I understand if you have guests only staying one night you would put them in the worst rooms but this was barely habitable. I realised the problem, it’s a room with a double bed and 2 single beds with a shower that has not ventilation if the window isn’t open. Over the years this place must have been so damp, everything needs throwing out and replacing and the whole room needs painting or replacing. Horrible to walk into.

I had a big and nice apartment with all the facilities needed to prepare food.
Very close to the beach.
The staff was very helpful and friendly.
The street in front of the hotel is not paved, however this is more the problem of the municipality, than of the hotel I guess.

Nice setting on the hotel grounds, good price (was in off season). Staff were very helpful and friendly.
The hotel is located back from the main avenue and required walking on a dirt road to get to cafes and restaurants.
