Everyone there was really friendly. They accommodated our very late check in without any dramas. Breakfast was good. Daily housekeeping was a nice touch. The hostel was really secure. It’s a good location, central to the town centre and you can walk to the beachfront.
The communal areas were run down and no longer really maintained for guests. The room was cold, but there was plenty of bedding available.

Not very cleaned, the bathroom were kind of dirty and smelled very bad due to the drain pipes.

Such a great place to stay when visiting La Serena! The bed was comfortable with plenty of blankets. The courtyard is lovely with flowers and birds. Breakfast was simple but did the trick, and the staff were so nice and attentive. (Ask about taking the bus up to Punta de Choros to see the Humbolt penguins!) The rooftop deck is awesome for BBQs and jam sessions too! Definitely recommend!
The only inconvenient thing was that the kitchen wasn’t stocked at all when we were there (hardly any plates, silverware, pots/pans, etc.)

Wonderful
Very nice place and very king and helpfull owner and staff.
They might improve some things in bathroom in dorm room. The sink is small and the tap releases water for 5 seconds, so you constantly have to press it to open. The shower heats up very slowly. There is no place to wash clothes by hand.
