Disappointing
The young guy at check in was very polite and let me check in early. The bedrooms upstairs looked ok but the dorms in the basement are best avoided.
I just got a bad feeling about this place and did not feel comfortable at any point. I booked a 'cheap' room as I was leaving at 2am and just needed somewhere to rest before a long bus trip. Unfortunately, this was a terrible choice. The price quoted here does not reflect what is charged - I paid 6000pesos more than quoted, even with the 20% for tax it was way more than it stated here. The dorm room is in the basement with no window (there is an internal window but it is covered) so it feels like a prison cell. The room stank of cigarette smoke, it had been cleaned but the bedding etc meant it felt really grubby. I checked out at 8pm, preferring to wait at the bus station for the night rather than stay here. If you're looking for a dorm, DO NOT stay here - there are much much better options for the same price elsewhere. Also the location is not particularly safe at night, especially for solo female travellers.
