Good location, though a bit of a walk, 20 min to the beach,
Coffee, tea, water available 24-7, quiet, good wi-fi, secure parking. Amable staff
La Serena was surprisingly foggy and chilly in late October. Not a comment on the Hostal.

The staff was really nice anf helpful. We got a great recommandation for a trip to chañaral aceituno to see whales on a boat trip, amazing staff.

Very friendly staff especially Rodrigo - he is a really friendly guy, great breakfast and they also bought special things because of my allergies - with also get a lunch packet the day we had to leave really early im the morning, they offer bike rental
Cleanliness could be better, it was a little bit noisy because of the street and traffic next to the window

Great Hostal for a comfortable stay in La Serena.
We stayed only the one night as we were passing through on our way to Vicuña. They let us store our bags at the hostel for a couple of days whilst we were there.
Breakfast was basic but enough. I would stay here again.

The family who work here are great. They were very helpful, had bag storage, clothes washing facilities and we're very kind to provide us with breakfast items the evening before, as we were leaving very early on a tour the next day. The room and bathroom was clean and the outdoor seating area is a nice place to sit and relax. The place is close to the bus stations and the centre of town.

Don't expect good kitchen facilities. Badly equipped, not really meant for guest use. Plus, kitchen was in an adjacent part of the hostal, so you had to exit and buzz in at another door. Not convenient at all.
Better kitchen facilities would be a great start.

The staff are attentive. Rodrigo especially is very happy to help with any problems and provide information about the lovely city and what activities to do.

Great location, super close to the main bus terminal and the town centre is easily walkable. Rodrigo, the staff member who greeted us at reception was a really nice and warm welcome, such a friendly guy! The bed was really comfortable as well.
Bathroom could’ve been a lot cleaner, and the shower was disappointing - really small (my boyfriend had to duck down to get under it) and the water was barely lukewarm. The breakfast also leaves a lot to be desired - would have been nice to at least have some fresh fruit available.

Close to the bus station which was a bonus. Also pretty close to town. Breakfast was supplied and had out on the balcony in the lovely morning sun.
They allowed us to keep our bags there after checking out which was helpful as we had the day to sightsee before getting the night bus
