- close to bus station (10 min walking distance) and also city center
- warm showers with good water pressure
- friendly staff and tasty breakfast
- it was busy with locals and other groups, a lively stay

It’s a very nice place and it doesn’t feel like hostel. The bed was super comfortable, and the shared bathroom was clean. Breakfast was very good (buffet style), and the staff is super helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay at El Punto again!

Nice quiet hostel, well located and with friendly staff. Rooms are quite small but ok for the price. Unfortunately the kitchen is not for guest use so can't do any cooking. Breakfast very basic, would have preferred to cook my own if it were possible! Still, overall a good enough experience.

The property was good. The location is quiet in the center and you can reach everything just by walk. The staffs were kind and there is a place where you can sit down and enjoy a moment of relax.
Nothing really to say… it’s a little bit noisy if you are a soft sleeper… but that happens almost everywhere so…

Great hostal in La Serena with parking and within walking distance of the centre.
The garden and balcony were a quiet oasis away from the summer holiday crowds. La Serena was full to bursting, the roads were choked and it was very chaotic. Lovely to retreat to our room and be able to explore on foot.
Cafe and breakfast on our second day were simple but great and staff were all very friendly.
The cafe was closed the day we arrived so we had to go out to look for water and food after a long journey, but there was a supermarket within walking distance and restaurants in the centre.
We left for the Humboldt Penguin Reserve early the next morning, so missed breakfast. It would have been nice to have an option to take a packed alternative.

Very clean and well maintained. Very nice staff. Nice places to hang out. Breakfast was good. Our room had a patio which was private and great. The room was large with a very comfortable bed
The only downside was that the walls are pretty thin but our neighbors were quiet

Lovely spot with a few courtyards and lots of spaces to sit and relax. Within a few minutes walk to the centre of the town. Room was lovely. Manuel and Lisa were the best, they arranged my tours and were available for all questions. Breakfast was nice, better than other places I have stayed during this trip.
