I liked the communal areas, there are two patios where you can smoke. The shower has hot water. Nice environment to make friends and meet other travelers.
The dorms are pretty tight, three beds stacked for the bunk beds. The dorm room has a mildew smell, and lacks ventilation. I asked to change my bed several times and the receptionist just ignored my question and didn't let me change bed.

Nice place to connect with other travelers. Roof terrace with a nice view. 30 minutes walk to the bus terminal.

Comfortable bed, good rooftop. Very social. Lots of space. Good location. This hostel is perfectly fine for a night or two.
Not enough bathrooms. Kitchen was left dirty from the night before.

Great hostel, especially the different terraces are nice to relax in. The kitchen is a bit small but there is enough to prepare easy meals. Beds are comfortable but rooms are very small.

Very helpful staff, a nice place to be - very central, felt totally safe. I had a bicycle with me, I could safely Store it on one of the balconies. This place would be my choice again for sure if I would come back tó La Serena.

The location is extremely convenient, it is just outside the main part of the city, easily accessible by uber and is right around the corner to the bus to Vicuna, if you are not planning on visiting the beach. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and gave lots of information which was greatly appreciated. It got cold at nights during the fall and they provided a heater for the room which helped a lot. They have a rooftop balcony, an indoor living room with a large TV as well as a kitchen in the basement. The kitchen was a bit small given the amount of space available and some burners didn't work. The wifi worked well.

Wonderful
Very eclectic and funky hostel, with separated indoor and outdoor common spaces. There is a beautiful rooftop patio as well as a more secluded one for some quiet times. The indoor one has a huge TV and some couches. Staff is helpful and friendly with some great advices. The location is convenient to get around to the center, just a few minutes away from the market, supermarkets, lots of food options and the archeology museum. The parking lot to catch the bus to Vicuna is a 3 minute walk. Internet worked well. Free water refills.
The rooms were a bit cold at night in May but they were so kind to provide a space heater upon request. The kitchen is okay although inconvenient only one burner works.

The bed were comfy, there were big lockers for storing luggage, few quite clean bathrooms and well equipped kitchen, nice tarrace. The staff was friendly, they helped me a lot that I could stay there after check out to wait for my bus. The location is good in the city centre and close to the big supermarket. There is all day reception which is quite helpful.
Electric sockets are missing next to the bed and perhaps some little lamp for each bed. The room was small, could be a little bigger.
