Caters for basic needs, clean, and serves an ok breakfast.
If you don’t pay by credit card you have to pay an additional tax. We had 4 different debit cards which we’ve used all over Chile, but none of them were accepted here & neither was our cash. Doesn’t seem to make sense to be penalised for not wanting to have a credit card debt! We’d also been waiting in a long cue while the staff talked amongst themselves and completely ignored everyone for a good portion of time. It took us an hour to check in overall.

Wonderful
Great location in downtown Iquique. Convenient for visiting the city. The top floors have a great view of the city. The rooms are simple but comfortable and quiet. The hotel’s restaurant is open till late and the food is good quality.

All the staff that we had contact with where excellent, the food and drink be it breakfast, lunch or evening meal first class.
The room had a huge chair that took up so much space and is unnecessary. The internet and television are poor in the sense that we had to use a computer in the reception for some on line needs. The TV reception isn’t good.

The location was good, close to the best street of the town, and that's it.
The air conditioner was not working properly, and the room gave this suffocating sensation. I called the reception, they were kinda rude and didn't do much. After I insisted that the AC problem was bothering me, they called a staff to check, and he only lowered the temperature a little bit more (since the control was not working), but still the room environment was heavy and suffocating to sleep, it was really hard to sleep, it sucked so bad. I would never come back.

Ibis has a good standard, always reliable. The room was nice.
Staff rude uppon arrival - we had debit card and the hotel did not accept it. “It’s not my problem”- the manager said and turned away. An other manager explained and solved the issue. The breakfast was lower quality than expected (we had better previous Ibis experiences in other locations).

Very supportive staff, impeccable cleaning
Room was far too small and with insufficient lights, storage space for clothes was insufficient, there was a small desk where a pc 17" would probably occupy it all
