I can't imagine anything better for this price! Very nice and polite staff. Cleanliness. Good location (quiet place).
There was no hot water in the shower during my visit.

This is a very affordable option for people who want a private bedroom (not a dormitory), within walking distance of Cavancha Beach and downtown Iquique, and for people who want a place with a kitchen. It was not a 5 star hotel by any means, but the owner was extremely friendly, the bed was extremely clean, the kitchen was well equipped, and the bathrooms were very clean. I would stay here again. The bathrooms and kitchen were shared, but the bedroom I stayed in was private. The building has free wifi, although the signal was not strong in my room. The cable TV was great in my room and I enjoyed falling asleep to National Geographic.

The people running the place were very helpful. I was charged the correct dollar to peso conversion, as my booking was in dollars. The son of the owners spoke really good English which was a great bonus. I liked the communal area where you could sit, have a coffee or tea etc. The location is not far from the beach and it can even be walked. The location of the place itself is in a pretty working class, non glamorous part of the city, but this is to be expected if you look at the price of the place. They also stored me bag for me after I checked out, which was nice as well.
The only problem was the fact that the walls are paper thin and in the room next to me there were 2 guys who were travelling on motorbikes. They were pretty noisy and disturbed my sleep quite a bit when they left like at 5am in the morning.
