Opened at the end of 2016, the Swiss Night by Fassbind is located in a quiet location in the city center and features rooms decorated in an individual Swiss style. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Each of the spacious rooms is fitted with a comfortable new bed, a desk, a mini-bar, a safe, coffee and tea making facilities, an iron and ironing board, a flat-screen TV, and a bathroom with toiletries and a hairdryer. A business corner with a printer is available in the lobby and a fitness room is offered for guests. Swiss Night by Fassbind also offers a 24-hour reception desk. All sights and attractions including the Bahnhofstrasse, Lake Zurich, the University Hospital and the banking district are easily reachable on foot. Pleasant
The hotel offered a very pleasant stay overall. Its location was excellent, being close to major tourist attractions as well as convenient public transport options, which made getting around very easy. The reception staff were especially polite and welcoming. They handled the check-in process efficiently while maintaining a friendly and helpful attitude, which made a great first impression. The room was clean upon arrival, and housekeeping maintained a good standard of cleanliness throughout the stay. I also appreciated the soundproof windows, which effectively blocked out street noise when needed, while still allowing us to enjoy the sounds of birds in the early morning. Additionally, the ventilation in the fitness center was very good, making it a comfortable space to exercise.
There were a few aspects of the stay that could be improved. The breakfast, in particular, did not meet expectations. Considering the price, the variety and quantity of items offered were quite limited. Additionally, although breakfast was scheduled from 6:30 to 10:30, when we arrived around 9:00, some key items such as the main bread had already run out. When we raised this issue with the staff member in charge, the response was disappointing. Instead of acknowledging the concern or offering an apology, we were told rather abruptly that it was finished and nothing could be done. A more considerate and professional response would have made a significant difference. Another drawback was the level of noise inside the building. Due to what seemed to be the hotel’s older wooden structure, sounds traveled easily between rooms. We could clearly hear footsteps, doors opening and closing, and even minor noises from neighboring rooms. This made the overall stay less comfortable than expected.

The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and there was enough space for comfortably two people.
There was no outdoor space. I really would have benefitted from a balcony or a common space outside at the hotel where you can go to play cards or eat a meal that you bring back to the hotel. There was also not enough light within the room.

Lovely rooms, really helpful staff, controllable heating and windows that open (so rare these days!), really quiet (unusual for Zurich) on a side street with no traffic, very comfortable bed, and the all-important Swiss chocolate on check in and out :-).

The hotel was impeccably clean. The rooms were very comfortable and warm (temp and vibe). The bed and sheets were like sleeping on clouds. I also really enjoyed the fun design of the room. Oh and the breakfast was AMAZING. The best breakfast we had on the trip.
No complaints. One of the best hotels we've stayed at!
