I had a 4 night 5 day stay at Sorell. What I liked about the hotel was the following: 1. Location. It’s in the walking distance from all places you might need (old town, train station, lake waterfront, shopping street, etc) 2. The room. The single room is quite small, you should consider it when booking. There may not be enough space to open a big suitcase, for example. But for me and my carry on it was good enough: comfy and cozy with everything I needed (good bed, good shower, a coffee machine, a robe, slippers, and even a yoga mat and an umbrella were provided). 3. Breakfast. Enough healthy options as well as sparking wines to set the right mood for the day. Omelettes could be prepared upon request. 4. Housekeeping. The room was always well taken care of. 5. I really appreciated a later check out. 6. Aldi shop is right next door. It’s very convenient. 7. WiFi was good enough for me to have Zoom meetings. There is a computer snd a printer in the lobby too.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay so much. I could suggest only a few things: -It would be nice to have 2 cups in each room: one for tea and one for coffee. One cup was not enough. -The phone didn’t work in my room. I couldn’t reach the reception. Had to go downstairs. -The card had an another guest’s name on it. When I mentioned it to the reception staff, nothing was done about it. And only when I mentioned it one more time, the hotel left a card for me with an apology and a free drink at the bar. There was some construction around the hotel, but that is not hotel’s fault. I just feel it would be fair to mention this.

Great location walkable to many sights, shops and the main train station. Tram lines also very convenient. Aldi grocery store next door was handy for snacks and meals to prep in the kitchenette
The room we booked was cramped and dark, overlooking a courtyard so we paid more on site. We were shown 3 rooms and settled on another with a kitchenette on a higher floor and a view of the street. Great bathtub included w separate shower.
