Location was great, near the train station. Easy to walk to plenty of places. Breakfast was great. I had dinner one night and they accommodated me without a reservation. Food was ok but the sauce was overwhelming the fish - fresh fish does not need a whole lot of sauce. Room was great - good size, well appointed, clean, bathroom was great.
Right next to a building under construction. I did not hear any construction noise though from my room. The location of the their sister hotel by St. Peter's had more soul. One issue is that there is NO air conditioning - which apparently is true of all hotels renovated or built after a certain year (2020?) due to the fact that Zurich is a green city. And for the "air circulation" the temperature cannot be less than a certain number from the outside temp - so if it's 85 deg outside, they can only cool the room to a certain number below that (maybe 5 deg less). This is what the manager explained to me. Not the hotel's fault - but something to be aware of if planning to come in the summer.

Everything is very clean, quiet and elegant. The employees who is working there are very professional and nice. The interior feels very comfortable especially with all black out blinds. I’ll definitely come back again.
Maybe the construction outside, but the location is awesome.

The front desk clerk, Isaac, was exceptionally helpful in making dinner reservations and answering questions about what to do in Zurich. He represented your hotel well. The breakfast selection and staff was also outstanding.

I had a 4 night 5 day stay at Sorell. What I liked about the hotel was the following:
1. Location. It’s in the walking distance from all places you might need (old town, train station, lake waterfront, shopping street, etc)
2. The room. The single room is quite small, you should consider it when booking. There may not be enough space to open a big suitcase, for example. But for me and my carry on it was good enough: comfy and cozy with everything I needed (good bed, good shower, a coffee machine, a robe, slippers, and even a yoga mat and an umbrella were provided).
3. Breakfast. Enough healthy options as well as sparking wines to set the right mood for the day. Omelettes could be prepared upon request.
4. Housekeeping. The room was always well taken care of.
5. I really appreciated a later check out.
6. Aldi shop is right next door. It’s very convenient.
7. WiFi was good enough for me to have Zoom meetings. There is a computer snd a printer in the lobby too.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay so much. I could suggest only a few things:
-It would be nice to have 2 cups in each room: one for tea and one for coffee. One cup was not enough.
-The phone didn’t work in my room. I couldn’t reach the reception. Had to go downstairs.
-The card had an another guest’s name on it. When I mentioned it to the reception staff, nothing was done about it. And only when I mentioned it one more time, the hotel left a card for me with an apology and a free drink at the bar.
There was some construction around the hotel, but that is not hotel’s fault. I just feel it would be fair to mention this.

Great location walkable to many sights, shops and the main train station. Tram lines also very convenient. Aldi grocery store next door was handy for snacks and meals to prep in the kitchenette
The room we booked was cramped and dark, overlooking a courtyard so we paid more on site. We were shown 3 rooms and settled on another with a kitchenette on a higher floor and a view of the street. Great bathtub included w separate shower.

The room & bathroom were spacious. The optional pillows for comfort was a nice perk. The staff were extremely helpful. We were in Zurich during Christmas season; the hotel had a wonderful option for drinks outdoors with several heaters. I hope to return in the future to this lovely hotel

The location is fantastic, right by the bahnhofstraße where all shops, restaurants, decent coffee shops and Zürich main station are located, besides two supermarket!
We booked a Deluxe double room, which was clean, cozy and beautifully decorated, creating a very relaxing atmosphere. The room was comfortable enough that staying in felt just as enjoyable as going out to explore the city, and the size was perfectly decent for a couple. The bathroom was also spacious, and the electric Geberit toilet seat was a fun little extra I really enjoyed :)
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful from check‑in to check‑out, and they also offered a nice variety of complimentary fruits and drinks, which was a very thoughtful touch.
I didn’t really have anything specific that I didn’t like. The breakfast was okay for me, just nothing special, but worth mentioning that restaurant staff were really kind and amazing to us!

Location is superb. Breakfast is amazing with a great selection of teas. Lovely cozy room with all the amenities. The hotel has a partnership with a top gym right across the road.
The room was rather small but enough for one person.
