Wonderful
The location of the Hotel Rütli is outstanding; it's close to the main railway station, it is in easy walking distance to many good restaurant and cafés, and it's also close to both expensive and inexpensive stores. Walking along the river Limmat to the lake is a relaxing experience. Most of the receptionists were very friendly and hospitable, as were the personnel taking care of the breakfast offerings. The breakfast buffet is generous, with an emphasis on fresh local produce and products.
I find the prices a bit steep for the rooms, which are clean and comfortable, but a bit small.

Nice location close to train station and shopping/restaurants in Old Town.
A bit uncomfortable due to excessive heat but staff did all they could to mitigate this - oscillating fan in room and chilled face towels at reception.

Location, staff’s helpfulness.
Bathroom is outdated. Terrible frosted glass that did not close all the way and you can see through them so did not give privacy. No AC and no fan option. Poor circulation in the room with the air purifier, made it very difficult during the heat wave.

i like that the hotel location is in walking distance of the train, bus and tram stations. very good mode of transport supplements the convenience of staying in a ahotel with a steep price.
the room was a bit dusty and the air conditioning isn't cooling down enough. i had to use my personal travel fan to amplify the temperature inside the room.

Room was very clean, elevators all work now, shower has great pressure. They were able to supply alternate, non-feather bedding and give us European-style split comforters; we sleep more soundly with separate top blankets.
Food at breakfast was relatively high quality and there were plenty of choices.
The breakfast areas were extremely crowded and constantly running out of things like cereal bowls or knives. They did the best they could but essentially the whole hotel is all there at once. It took us over 10 minutes to even find a seat.
Our room was much smaller than I expected; crazy because we've stayed here many times. It was incredibly small and would be a real challenge to anyone with any extra weight and/or luggage. The coffee from the mini-coffeemaker in the room is exceptionally good.

Location was a bit off from the main train station and the google map was a bit off. The hotel location is just one street from the main restaurant area. Room was clean and size is OK. Breakfast was very nice. The hotel staff was very helpful.

Good breakfast. Near the train station. Location is excellent. Staff is accommodating. We’ll be back next week on our way back to the U.S.
Little things like the shampoo holder is not working. The hygiene plastic ran out. Otherwise, everything is ok.

Breakfast was included with my room price and a young lady was so smiley and friendly. Also, we checked in in the morning and we were able to get into our room which was just awesome especially after a long airplane ride. Everything about your hotel was super, and all the staff were professional and helpful.
I don’t think there was anything that you could’ve done better. As it was your hotel and staff exceeded my expectations. I would recommend this hotel and or I would go there again.
