Respectful staff
Lot of noise. They didn’t told us that they have renovations, and 0830 in the morning next room drilling and moving things that awakens us.. that was really bad.
No isolation at all, every love next door, you hear it. Our coffee machine didn’t worked in the room as well…

Already came few times in the past and find it price value as attractive for one night
The hotel is under construction, no elevator, working materials everywhere, I took an iron three floor by foot the discover it’s out of order, I would let clearly know clients the hotel is at that stage!!!

I've stayed at the sorrel Rex hotel before and I had booked for 10 days over Christmas. I got confirmation and when I arrived at the hotel, I was told there was no reservation and then after insisting that I have gotten confirmation, they looked and said they changed my booking to one of their other hotels because they were closed over Christmas, which is ridiculous because I had booked well in advance and gotten confirmation to stay over Christmas. I just found that this was really unprofessional, I was given no advance notice. I've loved the hotel in the past and would really like to stay there again, but I was extremely disappointed. I did stay at one of their sister hotels The Rutli which was lovely. The staff was very accommodating in the hotel was nice.

Wonderful
A really nice hotel located in a quiet and calm area, with very convenient tram access to both the city centre and Zurich Airport. I especially want to mention Anna from the staff — she is truly exceptional. She manages breakfast, reception queries, and helps guide tourists, all with a polite, friendly, and supportive attitude.
We were very disappointed after missing the chance to book Lindt Home of Chocolate tickets, but Anna helped us secure them through the hotel, which felt like a blessing — we appreciated that a lot. The breakfast area is spacious with plenty of food options, and everything was very good.
Overall, a wonderful stay and we would definitely return.

First of all want send a special thanks to the staff...
We visited holland/ France/ Germany/ Italy and as we live in italy we travel mostly in other eu countries too.
After all of those stays i can give 8 out of 10.
Mostly the the best staff ever met..
Definitely see you soon and going to recommend to every one we know.
Just the pillows on the beds. and less tv channels.

Great location, about a 20-minute walk from the city center. The breakfast was complete, varied, and of good quality.
The Wi-Fi signal was terrible and barely reached the room. The bathroom was very small, and the sink was so poorly designed, with the cabinet right above it, that you practically had to do acrobatics just to brush your teeth.
Also, the final price was not the same as stated on Booking. We were charged an extra 1 CHF per person per day for something related to a climate fee.

It’s ok for one night business trip, location is ok, 10’ from downtown by tram, breakfast is ok as well, value for Zurich is good
It’s pretty old, the self check in not at his best, reception and personal are available only till 17:00, could improve a bit as well a renovation will be welcome some time into future.

The room was spacious with some nice touches such as an umbrella and a yoga mat,! The shower was excellent. The breakfast was ok but rather complicated!
The self checking in procedure was impossible.
There was quite simply inadequate space for guests to have breakfast.

Location was good, 1/2 mile to Main Train Station. Quiet area, restaurants within walking distance. Room very clean, mini fridge and hot water kettle. Extremely nice breakfast with good options. Staff very helpful.
Portable room air conditioner did not always work . Provided with a floor fan and it did cool down at night. No fault of their own with climate change.

Cute spot, just outside of the city. Staff was friendly. Location is great for grabbing buses/trains/trolleys to nearby attractions (botanic center, Chinese garden, Lindt Factory, and Zurich shopping).
Location is at the top of a steep hill - fully recommend the trolley if you can, but it is still manageable. Was literally there for a few hours as we needed a bed before hitting the airport, checkout/in is a little rough if staff isn't there - computer is not translatable.

It’s pretty old, so looks not always clean, TV at the room not working, iron a bit broken, bathroom a bit small, everything is ok, but far from being new !

Very good breakfast (honey was amazing).
Our room was pretty spacious with the balcony on the top floor - great views!
Easy self check-in.
Pretty close to the main train station and there is a tram stop nearby.
Breakfast room often gets crowded and there is little space to move around so it's not as enjoyable.
They have raw eggs at breakfast that you're supposed to boil yourself (there is a device) but then you need to wait 5-7 min for the egg to cook and additional ~5min for it to cool down a bit in order to peel, don't know who came up with such a system.
Very small elevator which makes some noises at the higher floors.
